Mertesaker has stepped up alot this season and he is a class player (starter CB for Germany). We do need a back-up striker for Giroud, but he has been outstanding so far ever since pre-season. Özil is pure class, and I bet most title contender fans/supporters pissed themselves abit when they saw the signing. Unluckily for spuds that Bale got sold, I'm not fully convinced he'll do well in RMD.
