United States

And I do not understand why KPB did not start

I think Ghana is better team than Portugal for this tournament.... With injury to Portugal USA can sneak a win or draw for sure! GO USA

Brooks is literally cant'evening

Horrible coaching by the Ghanian coach!

LOL.. the coach and all his staff are celebratig as if they've won the world cup!!!

Both sides will be eliminated. Germany and Portugal will go through.

Yes, I'll admit it. We got lucky, but sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. The team offense looked really bad. No space between players therefore they could not make passes. We have to pick it up against Portugal or we will lose. Good luck USA!

Very interesting match... Deserved win for the USA.

Congrats America! Beckerman and Jones so strong. We#r cheering for you!

belanda is the best

Following this display by both teams, I'm sure Portugal will still go through.

The USA was Ghana's only hope of assured 3points.....rather unfortunate the meat slipped thru our hands and left with our hoped 3points. At this stage, i feel Ghana will exit the tournament at this group stage. So sad!

Poor USA,their national team gave their best in football to win the world cup, their people don't like football.

what a surprised from USA,cant wait for the 2nd round

Sorry folks, but native US citizens relate "football" to anything related to style of play with the oblong pigskin. I believe the rest of the world likely associates football with what we call "soccer." Neither is 100% right or wrong, but just reality of regional vocabulary. No disrespect to either sport. Simply put, there are hardcore fans in the USA for all sports, but baseball and football (NFL) trump all others. Basketball sits third, followed presumably by hockey. Every kid I know played soccer growing up in the states, but for whatever reason, it doesn't stick. Money to be made and heroes associated with other sports here. Glad to represent globally, but honestly, most of our elite athletes search out their fortune in other sports. Will still take the win!

USA was very lucky to win this game

Why does it take African coaches a long time to learn. couldn't they realise the long crosses were not working???????? Boring Keshi and Appiah

Lets see if the sucking USA can defend against Germany as they did against GHANA. Germany will destroy USA. Still GH

That 2nd goal scorer couldn't believe he scored. Anyway grats U.S, but hard luck with Germany and Portugal.

The Ghana coach gave that game to the US, Assamoah left back, and Kevin Prince Boateng didn't start, worst tatics ever. Now they will have to try to win against a lethal Germany team and a good Portugal side, this was Ghana game to get something. Just because the US is not a really good team doesn't mean that they suck. Now I will have to hear all my classmates brags about how great the US futbol team is, you know how hard it is to tell these American that the US have a long way to go to catch all the rest of the world when it comes to futbol. Especially with these American Commentor, every comment they make when US win or even playing is just so annoying. This win itself is like winning the world cup to them, they have know idea what Germany and Portugal going to do to them.
