Congrats USA...you barely beat the second string team of Germany...

Lehmann 13 years ago

ter Steegen out, Weidenfeller in. At least one thing Löw will have learned from this US trip.

I admit germany has a way better squad, but there were a lot of second strings in there for the USA as well.

ter Stegen plays?? nice... he's a talented young goalie

oh it was German second row team... now that makes more sense. I couldn't make logical connection with USA beating Germany in soccer lol.

No excuses! The MNT did better and that's the fact. Stop whining about defeat like "we're just the B team" or stuff.

beto88keys 13 years ago

Interesting...that was the US reaction to Mexico beating them in the Gold Cup a few years back...so you can move on from that excuse?LOL

American Valdez take on German Valdez.

Stop hating on USA soccer team, I know it will take many many years for USA to win the world cup. The main reason for that is soccer is not the primary sport in USA. Here, top sports that Americans enjoy are American Football(NFL), Baseball(MLB), Basketball(NBA), Hockey(NHL) and then soccer(football). So US soccer team is not the team who can win world cup.

You said it will take many many years to win, then you say US soccer team is not the team who can win world cup. I say they will never win. Plain and simple. It's like saying San Marino will win the world cup one day. They might, only if San Marino is the only one competing in it.

After the second goal I see why Barcelona want ter Stegen as a replacement for Valdes
