@Tim. Very true, they will certainly have to invest in their backroom staff on better scouts etc. In my opinion a lot of players that come with a hefty price tag are generally not worth it anyway i.e. Ribery last year, I didn't get all that hype it was ridiculous, particularly when you consider that Man Utd bought a much better player in Valencia for about $20m less. So yes just buying big players will not work for them, and yes there is a real need for a good manager. I think mancini can do well, I'd like to think he'll stay for at least one more season, buy his own players in the summer and structure the team himself. I think the major problem coming in halfway through a season is that you have what the last manager wanted i.e. let downs like Robinho, and have to make do. If he is able to get some new blood of his choice in the summer then it may change for him, but again this is just speculation. I they they did sack Mancini though who would they get? I don't know if Mourinho is interested, I think he will go to Madrid in all honesty, as he has a fantasy of cups and leagues in Spain to finish his trio of ENG, ITA and SPA.

@ Blue4ever you got some points too, time is going to make ManShity better, but still, I have a deep feeling that they will still not be the best after more times. One very important thing that the ManShity owners can not get straight with is that a good team is not just about $$$, I say that it is more about the work of the manager rather than individual works. an example of it will be players like Vidic or Evra, before they move into Man United, they were not big, but they had their talents and Fergie spotted it. he used their special style of def and make it into Man United def. Or the most recent one, Real Madrid, they failed in the CL even with the best players around, their manager certainly has something to do with it. Beside, it is not just about buying players and jam them up into a team, managing a football team and being successful in it is more than just that, that is why manager is the most important role in the team, they know how to build the team and sustain it. to be honest, Mancini so far has proven nothing to me, he just came into a seat where Mark Hughe has warmed it up for him, and in many ways, I feel that Mark Hughe is better than Mancini, managing ManShity in the beggining of the season is much tougher than managing it now...

@Tim. SAF and Wenger already has a team that is at the top. Let's be realistic here, Man City are building a new team, as the team they had before is not full of the stars they need. Now that they have bought some of th good players, they are a good team, but stll in need of a few additions here and there to sre them up a bit. Next year for sure they will do better than just top 4, they could be pushing for league or runner up spot. Tehy've lacked a little consistency this season and I think that is because the players are still getting used to each other. When they turn it on, which we've all seen hem do, they are formiddable at time. They just need to get a few more players in the summer, get rid of people like Santa Cruz who just don't cut the mustard, add Torres instead and they will be golden.

@ Ren In some ways I agree with you, but the fact is that after spending 95 mil (and more on January) in the transfer market and still struggling to get into the 4th position is really pathetic to be honest.... Let me put it this way, try to give Wenger or Ferguson 95 mil and ask them to "do something with it", I tell you, if they have these money to spend in the transfer market, they will take their team to the top easilly. there are reasons why we Manchester United fans can be proud of ourselves and why those so call Gunners can be proud of their teams. By the way, Liverpool is crap now, if either of you Man city or Tottenham "take the chance", the 4th place is yours to fight, for now, I don't even expect LivinPoor to even be in the 5th spot, they are likely to end up in 6th...

I just looked itup and they play each other (City vs. Spurs) in the penultimate game of the season, so it should be a thriller if they both keep winning and/or staying close in the table at least.

Tevez goal was brilliant. He is a top class player who knows how to finish. Not only that but he runs his arse off. Do City play Spurs again or have they played twice already? That would be a great game now that it is all so close but idk.

DR.MANUTD: Don't be too proud of about your team. Even though we are made up of money, at least we improved a lot from last season. This bit prove that the money we spent did not go a waste, at least not like Real Madrid. They bought world class players and yet still lose. The players we bought are not even world class yet. So stop your bullshitting. We're aiming 4th this season, that's all. Title race next season. This is football. Anything can happen.
