I really wanted England to go far here,but the truth is,they had a poor tournament overall.Even before that,they almost got beaten by Japan in a friendly,were it not for two own goals.Their failure to beat the USA and Algeria,along with their marginal win against Slovenia meant they finished 2nd in their group.Not surprised Germany gave them a 4-1 pasting at Bloefontein and send them home in disgrace. I also thought the far superior Argentina could have gone to the final,but they too,were crushed by Germany's young stormtroopers. Guess the Spanish fans must be booking their flights home already.

Germany has the hardest matches this time. Their group was a death group. In my opinion the hardest of them all. Everybody could beat everybody. Then they got England. Now Argentina. Then Spain. Then Brazil or the Netherlands. This is just fucking crazy. They'll never make it. The chances to beat Argentina are 50:50 at best. But even if they beat Argentina. In the game vs. Serbia they got so many yellow cards for nothing from the referee from Spain (what a coincidence), that they would lose their best players vs. Spain. In 2006 all the yellow cards were revoked after the group stage. Now they are revoked after the quarter finals. With those fussy referees and those stupid rules, football fans can only hope that Irmatow won't ban to many players. Or Spain will have one of the easist ways to the finals ever. At least FIFA has sent Rosetti home, but I still think Spain bought the world cup.

Sry 4 all those England-Fans, but you guys just gotta face the facts. Germany WAS the better team by far!!! Maybe it would have been a different game if the "Wembley-Goal" counted, nevertheless, who the hell told you things woulda been different?? Germany woulda kept attacking and there's pretty much nothing England could have done about it. The G's kept the ball moving... played modern-style football and kicked ass! It's just fun watchin those young guns play! Plus, instead of complaining and blaming... maybe you should just try working with your youth and stop wasting money... just a hint!

yo england would have won if it wasnt for that ref call that they said that lampards goal wasnt, the goal was so clear that i wanted to punch that ref in the face so hard till he cries and dies. ENGLAND deserved that win.

Russel, British looser at least we went to final and we lost against Greece, but before that we defeat you twice. So keep it as favorite looser. If Germany has a lot of auslanders in theyr team it its pretty normal today. British team are all anglosaxons? France are them Francs or Celtics? Portugal are all Lusitanians or Celtics? Probably the few that have no other etnicities Italia as they according Italian citizenship until 3th generation, thats how Mussolini play. For them its very easy pick them from Argentina with Italian family names. Greece also it look like they all Greek. Spain all spanish?
