Let's be objective. It was more or less Ronaldo's fault that Ireland scored those header goals but then he redeemed himself by scoring 2 great headers and then scored another one to become the man of the match and assure the 3 points for Portugal.

This is ridiculous... Ronaldo can't just count on "headers" to get goals... This season has been either headers or freekicks. Where the "longshots", the "dribble the goalkeeper", etc... ? Headers won't do us any good against teams like Juventus.

He is making great runs into the box, great finish as well, he cannot always drop deep and take long shots and he is really strong in the air... Really great headers..

He is playing more as lone striker now, he cannot always drop deep and take long shots, he is strong in the air, scored really great headers.

The more you say "MESSI, MESSI, MESSI", the more goals you eat. Ronaldo is happy with this.

You know Lionel Messi's better but since you're a Real Madrid fan of course you're going to be bias...

Postiga needs to ignore the insults. He almost cost us 3 points but I was never worried because this is the way Portugal is accustomed to playing. When the going gets tough that's when we wake up. What about a special mention to Nani. That individual piece of skill right at the end. Mind blowing holy colossus!!

Actually if you saw the game you couldnt see ronaldo in the fisrt half, its like he never even played, then he does damage in space of 15 minutes. This is why you need other players being able to produce even without their star. Portugal is a very waek team if you exclude ronaldo.

What are you talking about? Obviously you don't watch portugal play very often so why don't you zip it. Portugal is a strong side all over the park except we don't have a reliable striker.

For the record portugal have been under performing in games they should have done better and if it wasn't for some of our other players not Ronaldo we would have been in more trouble . That is the whole argument in Portugal Ronaldo doesn't pull off performances like this for Portugal the way he does for Madrid on a regular basis. This is more like it and what we expect from our leader but certainly portugal has alot of quality.

Northern Ireland not the most graceful side but they sure make it difficult for any opponent with their rough and tumble style of football. Obviously they didn't do their homework because Portugal can dish it out if provoked and that's exactly what happened. You keep poking that stick in the tiger's eye and this is what you get. A mauling.
