he's getting better at free kicks that's for sure, but he's got a long way to go is he wants to be in the same class as Beckham, Ronaldinho, or Cristiano when it comes to dead balls. Honestly there's a Venezuelan player in the Bundesliga named Juan Arango I believe is much better than Messi at freee kicks and knocking on CR7's door.

lol lots of ppl praising messi as free kick master.... i do agree that messi is the best in terms of dribbling.... and ofcourse he has scored some very good free kicks in previous matches.... but DA.... you cant compare him with ronaldo and beckham... those ppl have scored tons of free kicks.... yea its very hard to score a free kick and messi shud be praised for that... but cmon... better then ronaldo and beckham.... na... not until he scores around 40-50 more.... (not a messi hater,neither a but licker of ronaldo or beckham) !! oww oww oww and 1 more thing... he must score some long distance free kicks too... like ronaldo and beckham did :P

OMG!!! Im a Ronaldo fan, with huge respect for Messi, im neither a barca or madrid bumlick and i definitely dont think RONALDOs god, just think Ronaldo's better. I came here to see some goals and I stumble on a comment saying: DARESAY he's better than Ronaldo at freekicks already... With all do respect that person is either a bumlick or trying to get top comment (in which if thats so, he succeeded...) Messi is undoubtedly better at Curve, Ronaldo's a weirdo who just bangs the ball in with sheer power while yes messi curves/curls so yeah, he's better at curving the ball, but please do not say he's better at freekicks. He's good at freekicks, with all do respect for both, Ronaldo is still better at freekicks. Scoring 2 freekicks doesnt make u the master im sorry. :(

Jesus freaking Christ, the Precision and Curving of Messi's free kick! Footy needs to get another review vid for this game the 4 angles I saw from the free-kick were phenomenal. And just FYI Messi can't hit Tomahawk Missile launcher free-kicks as C. Ronaldo does and I'm pretty sure this amount of curving and precision is a hard task for Ronaldo. Two completely different types of legends. The alien and the cyborg... So give it a rest and appreciate them playing while they do.
