Your National Team's Best Football Player(s)
Norway 13 years ago
Manchester United 8 87

We have different conclusions about the football players on our own national team. Who are the best footballers to ever play for your national team? Go on and share your opinions about other national team's, too!

Portugal:

Eusébio was the all-time leading scorer for his country, with 41 goals in 64 matches, until Pauleta equalled and surpassed his record against Latvia on 12 October 2005. Eusébio was also the most capped Portuguese player from 1972, until T. Nené made his 64th cap against Yugoslavia on 2 June 1984 in a friendly match, breaking Eusébio's record during the UEFA Euro 1984 on 20 June against Romania. He made his debut for the Portuguese national team against Luxembourg on 8 October 1961.

I think Xavi "el maestro" is the best Spanish player of all time. The reason is quite simply, Xavi is a world class  player for several years now, it is the past four seasons in particular where he has been untouchable. Xavi’s passing is up there with Michel Platini, he creates countless goals with genius through balls while virtually never relinquishing possession.

As the pundits say, the midfield is the heart of any team, and Xavi has been a vital part in the heart of Spain and Barcelona's rise to the top of the world over the past decade or so. After the World Cup, according to many Xavi should have won the Ballon d'Or award for the best player of the year. But, the award went to his Barça teammate Leo Messi. Xavi, ever so humble, commented that Messi is one step ahead of them, and he is probably the best player that he has seen.

Xavi is the most capped player for Barcelona and has more than 100 caps for Spain. He has truly seen all the heights in football, but will his hunger ever die? I don't think so, that's why I think he's the best spanish player of all time.

INDIA :
Pradip Bannerji (65 goals in 84 matches) was named Indian Footballer of the 20th Century by FIFA. He represented India for 13 years, and was one of the top scorers in Asia at that time.

Baichung Bhutia (43 goals in 107 matches) became the first Indian footballer to play professionally in Europe. Bhutia is considered to be the torchbearer of Indian football in the international arena. He is also India's most capped player.

@Norway,

why is your username 'Norway' if the national team you support is Portugal. This is hard to believe...

For me, Johan Cruyff is the best dutch player ever.
He not just proved himself as a legendary football player, but also as a great coach.
He played 48 goals for the orange squad between 1966 and 1977, and scored 33 goals.

@iHEARTfootball,

The reason is very simple. I'm coming from Norway, but I support Portugal as a national football team even more than I support Norway. Since Norway isn't too exciting to watch, and they're struggling to get through in big tournaments, I've chosen to put my passion and joy in Portugal. Also, I tried to check if the name 'Portugal' was available, but it wasn't. :)

@Norway  oh ok. There is a lot of Manchester United/Portugal fans here. I wonder when that Portugal man will show up

@iHEARTfootball,

Well, I'm quite new around here, so i don't have a clue. Not to be self-interested above the teams I like, but there are many people that loves both Manchester United as a club, and Portugal as a national team - if I would follow my own experiences. Who is 'that Portugal man'?

@Norway  you adapted here quite quickly for a new person. well done.
 that portugal man is a knob head. I never liked him from the beginning because he cheated his ranks to the top with countless numbers of accounts like what a real loser would do. He sometimes hides himself with another account like what a real loser would do. Many people hate him for that reason because he acts all nice nd stuff but hes actually just another one of those selfish trolls

@iHEARTfootball,

Hehe, thank you. This site really looks amazing! To be honest, I don't have any problems to fit into new communities and websites, furthermore I found the 'Forum' tab and took a look at the topic's that have been posted. :)

Okay, so it's possible to cheat your own rank to get to the top (maybe it sound like I will do it, but I'm not the kind of person that cheats to feel well or to raise my own pride). May I ask you the username(s) of this 'troll', so I can try to stay away from these special people that you relate to.
