@decentK same. I wish there was a good atmosphere at the emirates. It seems the fans only bother for big games. Even today for the NLD tottenham fans were outsinging us up to the moment gibbs scored.
Can't say anything about our away fans though they're always great.

Just gonna leave this here saying its only an entrance at a Greek derby. Wish BPL had an atmosphere like that :/
If a fan in England lights a pyro he gets a hefty fine and banned for several years so as it stands right now that won't happen. Ticket prices and the na zi stewards dont help any either.

Forgot to mention that - agree. Outsung Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge while 6-0 down last season.

@josemourinho yeah but in BPL people don't get injured beacause fans threw rocks. In my opinion BPL has beter atmosphere and I have been in a Greek match(THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION)
Well you can't expect these kind of fans at the Emirates when we got highest ticket prices in the world, and it's almost full every time because of tourists.
Security at stadiums in EPL has become so lame the atmosphere is as good as dead. People have claimed to be taken out of matches for constant standing so basically there is not much people can do about it. Its more an issue of the league administration. Lower league matches like in 3rd and 4th tier of English football have great atmosphere, way better than EPL.
I would love to have an atmosphere like the one shown above, where people are emotionally invested in the match since before it starts until way after it finishes.
Even Serie A and Bundesliga have amazing atmospheres so it is something that can be done in England as well.
It was all because of the large amount of hooliganism in the 80s.
The FA had to stamp it out hard, because it had gotten English teams banned from Europe, so they started making stadiums 'seating only', and preventing anyone from having anything which could be used as a weapon (you know, like one of those very same flares was used in the Athens derby just last month to injure a player as he came onto the pitch, and earlier in March one of the coaches was knocked-out in the same way).
It's been a long time now, though, since that sort of thing happened in England, and a lot of clubs in the PL are pressuring to put standing sections back in, including Tottenham. We have plans for a 16k single-stand tier like the Kop in our new stadium, for instance:
That would be AWESOME as a standing section. Hopefully this will catch on again, as the atmospheres at stadiums which never had the clamp-downs (like the ones for clubs who get promoted to the PL from lower leagues) is still as good as ever, and can re-inspire the huge stadiums. The passion is still there, it's just become hampered, especially in London by the TV Sky era.
Oh, and while we're admiring the atmosphere of other places, let's not also forget the violence that those derbies still have. Since we're talking about the Athens derby, let's not forget how much violence still takes place thanks to that 'atmosphere'. Just this year, it had to be postponed:

So maybe we should think about that before getting too wrapped up in how much 'better' we might think it would be to go back to a time where police and the FA did nothing to stop ultras and their 'atmosphere'.
We currently live in a better world because of those restrictions.

Just to contrast a little bit more. And to truly appreciate how fans are part of the problem and not only stadium rules.
Look at how both groups of fans behave at the same stadium (England).
In youtube you can keep watching the videos of Dortmund fans in England, how they managed to make the most out of the atmosphere despite all the restrictions.
Conclusion: No excuses.

Insane.
Haha, some things never change.
