"Mourinho - a Champions League winner with both Porto and Inter, and two-time Premier League champion with Chelsea - is one of the most successful and respected managers in the history of football and Yahoo is the ONLY place you will be able to access his thoughts on the FIFA World Cup this summer as he has joined our team as an exclusive analyst for the tournament in Brazil.Whether they are in front of their computers or on their smartphones and tablets, millions of football fans across the globe can enjoy Jose’s opinions on the biggest stories coming out of Braziland his take on the tournament as it progresses.

Always opinionated and always unmissable, Mourinho will also be bringing us his unique commentary on a range of football issues across the calendar year–as well as giving you, the fans, a remarkable insight into his daily world via photos and videos. So if you want to get exclusive insight from football’s most compelling and, sometimes, controversial mind, there’s only one place to be in 2014.

In an official launch event with broadcaster Mark Pougatch, Mourinho explained why he chose to sign with Yahoo.“I decided because it is very prestigious and I want to connect myself at every area with prestige; so I was looking for prestige,” he said.“At the same time if I want to communicate with people - and that is the objective, to share some of my ideas about football and especially about the World Cup - I want to share with many, many millions.

I don’t want to share with a few thousand that buy a normal newspaper or a couple of million who follow a certain TV channel. I share with many millions or I don’t share, so let’s share with many millions. “For sure some will disagree, for sure some will say how can this guy be a top manager, but for sure some will agree with me and for sure I think we can have some fun.”

Here is one of his opinions already on Englands chances in World Cup .

"Mourinho, who knows better than most the culture of English football at the elite level, says he does not understand why Roy Hodgson’s side have been written off so quickly in some quarters.“

England, everybody says ‘no, no, no, no, no’,” said Mourinho in an event to launch his deal with Yahoo. “I always say, ‘why not?’ Because I don’t understand why not. When I see the players and the experience of the players and the clubs where they play, I don’t understand why one day it cannot happen.”

Asked whether, given the talent available to them, England underachieve at major tournaments, Mourinho replied: “I think so because [The Premier League] is the best championship in the world; it is the most competitive one. “I know that many foreign players are in the top clubs but at the same time the national team players, all of them, they play in the top clubs in the Premier League – players from Chelsea, from Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal, a few from Everton also – all of them.

“They know what the big stage is; they know how to play under pressure; they know how to play for the big clubs; they play in the Champions League which is probably the most difficult football in the world, so I don’t see why they don’t. I don’t see why. So one day they have to do.”However, Mourinho did exercise a note of caution when analysing England’s prospects in what is a very difficult opening group.“I know it is [a tough group], but I don’t think Uruguay and Italy will find it easy to play against England,” he said. “I think it is the kind of group where everybody is waiting for the first match, and the first defeat will put immediately one team in a very difficult situation. “Probably it’s a group with some draws and when you have some draws in this kind of three-match competition, if you get a couple of draws everything is very complicated. “One of them will be out and one of them will be considered like a big favourite, but the reality is that the group is difficult so one of them must be out.” "

More of his analysis ,

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says his old rival Pep Guardiola has taken European champions Bayern Munich to another level.

The Bavarians annihilated everyone in their path last season, winning the Champions League, Bundesliga title and DFB-Pokal before Jupp Heynckes stepped aside for the ex-Barcelona boss to take the helm in the summer.Nine months on, Bayern sit top of the German league by an eye-watering 20 points, have one foot in the last eight of Europe at Arsenal's expense and have a domestic cup semi-final to look forward to.

Mourinho, who tussled with Guardiola for two seasons in La Liga when he coached Real Madrid, thinks thatdie Roten have improved even more under his tutelage, though he credited former bosses Louis van Gaal and Jupp Heynckes for getting the ball rolling at the Allianz Arena.

"I think Bayern are getting better and better," the coach told Yahoo. "I think this new Bayern started with Louis
van Gaal.He started cleaning the team of all the players and starting with Thomas Muller,Bastian Schweinsteiger, Holger Badstuber and Toni Kroos, he was starting with these people and took the team to the Champions League final in 2010.After that came Jupp Heynckes, who did unbelievable work, and the team kept becoming better and better and they won the Champions League, and now Guardiola also is a fantastic coach and I think [they are] naturally improving. Over the last few years as a club they are doing very well."

If Chelsea beat or draw 0-0 with Galatasaray in their Champions League last-16 second leg later this month then they could face the Bavarians in the quarter-finals should Guardiola guide his players past Arsenal with their
current 2-0 advantage.
