@Vendetta, "For example, we had over 800 million pounds in debt. Abramovich literally used his own money to remove all the debts. And there was nothing in it for him, he just loves the club." Look mate, if you want to believe that a manipulative businessman with a shady history bought Chelsea simply for the love of the club (a club he had no ties to), I can safely say that you are looking through the world with blue-tinted glasses. Even if there is not sufficient evidence to support that he bought Chelsea for protection, to suggest that he did it simply for the love of the club without any business-oriented motivations or ulterior motives is absurd beyond belief. And @Lodatz, I really think the Willian deal was more about who Tottenham did not get to sign and miss out on, rather than who Chelsea signed. I see it more as a means of lessening competition on Chelsea's part. It was a strategic move, but it will bite Chelsea in the buttocks if decreased playing time among Chelsea players creates instability within the club. But I wouldn't worry: I really think Erik Lamela will be a great signing and Spurs will finish in the top 4, ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal.
@TheGame: Well okay that's understandable at the business part. Obviously, any billionaire would want some money back from where he donates it (Chelsea). But I just don't see who took the business side of Chelsea to get corrupt. I guess we both just have different views of it. Agree to disagree I guess.
When did Abramovich remove Chelseas debt? Doesnt the clubs holding company (Fordstam) owe 750 million+ to him. The only thing is that its interest free, its still owed.

Did something change after this?
You didn't read the article did you? Chelsea has 0/low debt. Fordstram which owns Chelsea (the ONLY purpose of the company Fordstram is owning Chelsea) has 700m+ debt. If Roman was to recall his debt from Fordstram, the only way it can do is to recover it from Chelsea. Thats what the article clarifies. Its just an accounting trick to transfer debt from firm A to firm B, the debt is still owed.
I see. I guess I should have read the article then. Well, TIL. Thanks for the article, I'm going read it now.
Look at this poll, Lodatz :-p There's even an option for you!
^LOL
Anyway, this is a great move for us now because if we need rotation or a good substitute then we are safe. Last season we had to use Benayoun, Marin and Moses as the backup for the band of three and now we have great depth upfront.
(In no order)
LM: Hazard/Schurrle
AM: Oscar/Mata
RM: De Bruyne/Willian
