Bolton chairman has suggested Muamba is unlikely to come back, but I suppose it's up to the player, in his case you would think there is too much risk of it happening again.

Muamba can still play football but now atm he needs some rest and then he can play with the Bolton squad. Petrov cannot play and we still need to know if he can still play football because he has a dangerous disease right now.
