quikzyyy is right to be honest, a loss to Chelsea won't even matter against Leicester considering if we beat Leicester it would mean nothing but if Chelsea allow Leicester to win that means they will prevent a London rival from winning a title which would be a better choice,
I'd like to think that Chelsea plays fair and square. Considering they beat us on their home turf last time.. but you might be right.. Let's hope they make it though. Much rather them than Spurs.
So a month has passed since this thread was created! Leicester are still favourites to win but only managed a draw mostly due to an unfortunate red card against West Ham. What are your thoughts now? Will they still win the league?
Yes they will. Ranieri is right, if any big team would be in their position, we would be considering the title race finished already. But Leicester has shown on countless occasions this season that they have the ability to grind out results week in week out. I think they would have comfortably won it by the time they play at Stamford Bridge.
Bookmakers and know-it-alls predicted Leicester to be relegated from the premier league this season, even though their amazing finishing of last season made them merely avoid being relegated. With odds of 5000 to 1 for Leicester to win the title (yes a lucky few may win a lot of money if things keep going Leicester's way). Leicester have some amazing talent including the likes of Vary, Mahrez, Drinkwater and all the others that get way too little attention. Starting XI is around £20m - a 10th of the big clubs. Anyways, Leicester are now favorites to win the league after they keep winning narrow wins - even against the "big" clubs.. But my question to you is; Will they win?
7 Games to go.. 5 points ahead of Spurs 11 points clear of Arsenal with one more game played.
Leicester's Playing Schedule: Southampton (H), Sunderland (A), West Ham(H), Swansea (H), United (A), Everton (H), Chelsea (A)
Spurs fixtures: Bournemouth (H), Liverpool (A), United (H), Stoke (A), West B (H), Chelsea (A), Southampton (H), Newcastle (A)
Leicester manager Ranieri: "It's not easy for us. We are Leicester. A team like (Manchester) United or City, Arsenal or Chelsea five or eight points clear, it would be finished. But us? No. We have to fight every match."
LVG on Leicester: "[Leicester's run] makes sport beautiful," Van Gaal said ahead of Sunday's Manchester derby. "The money is not always dominating... It's the quality of a team and Leicester is an example of a team that plays like a team. So you have to give a big compliment to the manager and his staff."
Mahrez on Leicester title chances: “But there’s still seven matches to go, and it’s a long way. We need to keep focused on our team and we will see what we can do"
