Will Leicester keep their players ?

N' golo Kante asking for departure made me question about Leicester future : One season wonder ? or the start of a sportive rise and the maintain in Big four.
Will depend on the structure of the team, if 60% of the team stays then it will be possible and specially Mahrez, Lass Diarra could perfectly replace Kante and Ngolo could give Leicester with the PL prize a Huge budget to higher its stars wages and keep them with a participation in CL promise.

But could they resist to the crazy transfer market waiting for big PL teams that failed this season ? will they make smart buys and sell for a lot of money keeping Ranieri to make a new team with new players and the ones who stayed, or make serious offers to their players and prevent them from leaving at least a season. or even better getting reinforcements to play on different tables next year.

What would be your predictions ?

Southampton should be a bad example of not benefitting more than a year from breakthrough players that went for wages and their progrression stopped, i suspect the Foxes owner to be really aware on Footballing issues and they could clearly manage their team the way Atletico are doing or even better, but this summer will be key on Leicester future not just next season but as an institution.

Im more relaxed about Spurs Future, they handle their management pretty well.

Vardy, Mahrez, and Kante are the keys to this team, who really showed elite levels of play throughout the season. Everyone else overperformed, but that cannot be expected every season. If Leicester somehow manage to keep all three, I think they'll be back in CL spots next season. If they lose even one, top 10. If they lose more than one, as far as I'm concerned they're right back to where they were before this season.

It is worth mentioning that this BPL season had some of the weakest versions of Chelsea, United, and Arsenal that we're ever likely to see. I have no doubt all those teams will be better, in addition to Liverpool. Not to mention City, who WAY underperformed in the league. IF Leicester hangs onto everyone, I think they can compete for, but not win the title. If they do not, I can't see them getting a European place.

Mahrez and Kante will probably leave, Vardy will stay. Leicester to get relegated next season. You heard it here first.
On a serious note, I would agree with what @SunFlash said above. There is no way that that Chelsea, City (and partly Arsenal) will be so poor again next season with United and Liverpool only improving, too. I don't think that Leicester will be able to sign top class players, I rather see them going for outcasts of the usual top clubs and talented youngsters, like Demarai Gray who they've signed during the winter transfer period. In addition, I believe they won't reach the knock out stages of the Champions League and will end the season somewhere in between position 8 and 12.

i agree with JuanMata10.. Kante and Mahrez will likely leave the club.. about their next season UCL journey, MAYBE they wont qualify after UCL group stage but i want to see them doing well on Europa.. Next season gonna be so HAVOC with all top managers in the BPL.. Liverpool and Chelsea will be definitely better next season and so is Man United.. Arsenal? dont know how to comment on that.. maybe we are sticking to the new Ars3nal not the old 4rsenal for awhile.. Best of luck to all team on BPL next season..

They should probably be able to keep any 2 of Mahrez, Kante and Vardy. They need to be really smart in the transfer window to have any hopes of being successful.
On the other hand though, I would consider it a good season for them if they finish in the top 7, and reach at least the quarters of the UCL

@Juan are we going to bet 5 $ for Leicester to get relegated next season?
I agree with most things you've said but as Ranieri said, hi wants to finish in top10 next season. But they will now receive a huge money, 90 millions will sure add a quality but, they need to stay together, as a team this. This may be like domino effect if you take one down, the others will go as well.

EDIT: Riyad Mahrez is "50-50" to leave Premier League champions Leicester this summer, according to his agent.

Money EPL teams will get after the season.enter image description here

I think they probably will.. Dont get me wrong but Besides Mahrez the rest of the squad is nothing special. Vardy is 29yo and he might be a one season wonder. Kante is good but I dont see any other "big" team snatching him. It is a very average squad and hopefully they will keep most if not all of their players.

With how easily rumors fly by I haven't really heard any credible one involving Leicester's players. With the money they made this season and how much the players would have probably bond together Leicester is very likely to keep their players.

I think they could end top 6 next seasons. Top 4 would surprise me due to their UCL demand.

Regardless of how many of Kante, Mahrez, and Vardy they keep, I don't think Leicester will finish in Top 3 next season. Remember that Leicester peaked during an extraordinarily weak season for the BPL. United are crap, Chelsea suddenly flopped on themselves, Arsenal are Arsenal, Liverpool just began rebuilding, and City were dropping points left and right. I genuinely doubt this will be the case next season. Liverpool are sure to bounce back, along with City. I expect Chelsea to make a strong push as well after acquiring a certain amount of new players. I doubt Leicester will finish anywhere higher than 4th, even if they keep all their main stars.

EDIT:: Forgot that Spurs are quite good under Pochettino as well. They should also be better than Leicester next season.

I'm not sure what'll happen, but this transfer window is going to be crucial if they want to fully establish themselves as a Champions League club.

Dynastian98 has a point here. Leicester took the biggest chance of their lives at its fullest this season, so hats off to them.

But next season should be the season where the top teams will get back on its feet again, with Guardiola and Conte coming in for both the Big Blues. Van Gaal is starting to get United track back on again with the youths, so next season will be the ultimate test for him as he will retire afterwards.

Liverpool are also looking positive again under Klopp, but I still believe next season will be another baby step towards their usual big club status.

Tottenham are starting to look very promising, so I will be expecting them to be fighting for the title again next season as their squad looks nothing but forwarding as it is a very youthful squad.

Arsenal will be Arsenal again next season, moving on.

Sorry Foxes, but usually big teams with top class managers start with a bang in their first seasons, so seeing Leicester defending their title, even if Mahrez and Kante staying, would be pretty slim. Huth is aging and so is Morgan obviously, but what an incredible season this was for the Foxes. Truly remarkable.

I agree with all of you, and I think that Leicester has no chance of finishing in the top 4 next season. But still if they make some good buys, keep their players and the bond and their hardworking spirit, I think they'll be able to make top 7.

Just my predictions.

Kante to Arsenal (30%), PSG (30%) or stays (40%)
Vardy to stay (85%), or leave to Man City (15%)
Mahrez to PSG (80%) or to stay in Leicester (20%)

^ Both Mahrez and Kante have said they would rather stay in England than go back to France and Vardy is not a Guardiola type of player.

@JuanMata

Vardy is not a Guardiola type of player.

VERY true, I didn't think about that. I just thought that now that he's 29 and had fantastic season, he'd like to have 1 big payday and UCL at the same time and City would be the only option for that.

I'm pretty sure that Vardy won't be on the move. He's worked really hard to establish himself at Leicester and at 29, flopping at another club may spoil his career (I'm sure he won't flop but there's a chance). And why not stay at Leicester for another year at the least, nothing beats Champions League football.

@decent What would Vardy do in City? Certainly not going to get started over Aguero and I doubt Vardy is a type of a player who would like to sit on bench.

They have the money to keep them all, the problem is that it's players who will probably push for a move, Lassana Diara would be a good replacement if Kante leaves but Mahrez is not replaceable nor Vardy both outstanding this season. These 3 are the ones most likely to leave but foxes could at least keep one of the 3.
