I just have to ask this community. Black and Blue or White and Gold. Don't go adding other colours.
Personally I see black and blue in the dress and find it baffling how you can see it is white and gold.

Damn, beat me to this thread. In the photo that has gone viral I see ice blue and gold..... but

In the original photo I see black/blue (the mother of the bride) but in the photo Drunken posted, I see gold/ice blue

The actual dress is Black/Blue. The picture was very bad quality which left people arguing. IT has nothing to do with colourblindness. Just a very low quality photo.

Look how bright the other parts of the photo are, if you scale it way down to normal, its black/blue

Damn, beat me to this thread. I see white and gold, can someone explain how it is blue/black?

It's black and blue. The photo is shoot with lighting and probably with mobile, which mean there's no option of White Balance. Objects reflect light at certain wavelengths or colours, and the human brain determines the colour of an object by taking in its reflected light. This perception can be thrown off balance by the colour of nearby objects. With this photo, the surrounding colours are so muddled that the brain isn't sure what to make of the dress itself. Everyone of us got another contrast, ICC profile and color calibration which may also affect the way you see it.

It's light blue and brown in the Photo, whoever says that it isn't will get a instant ban from Footyroom.

Did you even read what I said? Don't be so quick to judge

And anyway, scientists have said that if you look at the dress as though its dark, you will see black/blue, and if you look at the dress as though its emitting a lot of light, you will see gold/white.

Take this one for example... the blue and green spirals are actually the same colour....

@Tuanis Haha, one of most unbelivable illusions EVER. Couldn't believe at first.

With two vertical stripes of same shade of gray makes the color equivalence more clear. (2)

@Eden17 Right points.

This is retarded, these 2 images are from different because the guy who took the photo added light into the dress which makes it look like gold and white or black and blue which is 2 different pics then.

Yeah, but you don't have eye problems if you see white/gold since it is a really bad photo.

If you see white gold in the commercial photo, then you have problems.
