Why England Need Hoddle

Glen Hoddle is being tipped to take over from Stuart Pearce as the England U21 coach. Some of you may remember that he was once the full England team coach, but was fired after saying something mean about people in wheelchairs. England's loss, basically.
I agree with this article, totally, as to why the FA need to not make the same mistake twice:

I would love to see Gary Neville taking over from Pearce.

I'm definitely fine with Hoddle though. He'd be brilliant.

Hmm. Well, isn't he in charge of that charity academy in Spain? If so, he'll have added experience to coaching youth . However, the people who run the English FA don't seem like the types that would welcome back someone they once, acrimoniously sacked. Moreover, his stinging criticisms of the U21s will have done little to get them on his side.
From a purely football perspective, I think it would be worth a go as he seems to be more of a technical manager that emphasizes skills the English traditionally lack. However, I cannot see how he'd get past the political obstacles.
