@Emo & @saatvik: exactlyyyy!!!
The playing condition there can be insane and in your off day, you can easily loose to a lesser team. Not to mention Rostov is pretty damn good.

I think anything is possible. I think Team which is more Lucky than the ather Team will win ucl. For example portuguese won euro 2016 and they past the their group but they was in third place when group matchs finished. They played against Average Teams. so they arrived in final game. And rate of reaching of portuguese to the final game was low. I am expecting different teams in final but big teams dominated in recent years I dont think but I hope we see different teams
@cr7real: True that! We just talking about the likelihood of how it might happen. But indeed anything can happen if a team is lucky and get the lucky track.

@tuan_jinn Wow, from your comment, it actually sound like I made a clever comment for once, thats nice. :D
@Saatvik Ah, yeah, that has to change the dynamic of the game by a decent margin, people tend to forget that temperature make an huge difference in football.

was the cold an excuse against dortmund too?...or maybe ancelotti system isn't working as well as peps. Maybe pep was more strict and required more from players. I do know muller is having a down period too so that might be affecting their game

@Gonzi This is an UCL thread, so, it made sense to us to talk about the game with Rostov. Losing 1-0 against one of your strongest rival especially when they come back in form isn't the worse result Bayern had in recent year. Pep lost 3-1 against Monchengladbach last year and they still won. What I'm trying to say is that I don't think Ancelotti has proven he is better or worse than Pep. Especially with the single game against Dortmund. Anyway, buddy, is it me or you liked Pep over Ancelotti as Bayern coach? Is it because of all the people who were singing the praise of Ancelotti and called Pep overated when the two changed place?
I'm all in for dortmund, i hope they win the champions league.
tbh i'm not a fan of either coach. but i'm especially not a fan of ancelotti. all i'm saying, based on what i've seen, the dominant bayern we have been seeing over the last years is not what we are seeing now. And i believe it's ancelotti who is causing this. the dortmund loss was huge, when was the last time they had lost to dortmund? very long time
Barça hopefully...
@Gonzi But you have to remember it was only last year BVB came back to their full strength, the other season before, they had gone into a run of poor performance. Then again, I cannot argue much with you, I haven't watched Bayern game since they got Anceloti. I don't really care much who caused it but all I see is that Bayern are not top of the league for once and I'm not gonna be angry with that kind of results for sure. ;)
Bayren are in a down season but still, you can't just rule them out. Dortmund are in a fantastic form, They gave real a run for the money. The only reason we drew is thanks to Navas, Modric and Ronaldo. Other than that, they have been phenomenal. Bayren have a great squad, but Ancelloti hasnt been using their main players of last season. Kimmich has been starting over Costa and Coman. In fact every player is getting his fair of minutes, and Ancellotti still hasnt build his best XI. 17W 3D and 3L isnt that bad, they just need their squad too be fully fit so they can have a standard best XI.
Real are going through the same situation, injuries are killing us. Bale is now out for 2-4 months just as Casemiro comes back. Now we have Bale, Morata and Kroos injured. We still havent gave a decent performance, in fact our streak was mostly thanks to late goals and good defending. Even though Barca is behind us atm, their performance are much more convincing. We played well against Atleti and BVB, that's it, other performances have been average.
Barcelona ar playing well but their defense is shittier than Legia. Celtic could have scored 2-3 goals if they improved their finishing. City could have also bang more goals as well, Sergi Roberto can't play as RB and Pique-masche have shown weak chemistry. Busquets is completely out of form which is probably 70% reason of Barca's downfall. Suarez needs to move out of the box more and support Messi. Neymar is doing a fantastic job this season but he hogs the ball a bit too much. However, they still are the team to beat, if we can manage a win or even a draw against Barca, that will surely boost our team morale.
On the side note, Barca's transfer is hilarious, not a single game has their transfer players even played well. Umtiti may have a couple good games but they still haven't convinced us yet, I may be wrong tho.
You're not, summed up everything about Barca situation, but Barca has Messi and this alone make them strong contenders...
Messi alone can't win trophies...trust
It is true that Messi alone can make a difference, but when teams start parking the bus its gonna be a different story. Plus, you can't be confident with Messi's health issues, he can get injured anytime (hopefully not) so Barca need to adapt without him. They did that well last year, I'm not so sure about this year though.
Discuss.
