I hope you realize that the Ballon d'Or is based on individual performance, not team success. Messi led Barcelona to the semis of the CL, and he was injured the whole time against Bayern. You have to cut him some slack (although not much).

Nevertheless, on a much more unrelated topic, I would like to see the Best Player in Europe award go to Franck Ribery. He's been relentless in his work ethic, and I think that without his partnership with Robben and his contributions to Bayern this season, Bayern wouldn't be where they are now.

After watching Ribery in both semi-finals against Barca, I won't be surprised if he wins it. Would be cool if Bale got in the top three as well.

Ribery if bayern wins C1. Bale ? probably not, but great season for him. Ronaldo could win if he won C1. in terms of stats this year Messi is the best this year. but it must go to a bayern player if they win C1.
