^ True 'dat :)
Gianfranco Zola :D
The reason Iniesta is such a great midfielder is because he keeps it simple. Always keep the ball at your feet and make sure to make as many touches as possible without constantly chasing after the ball. Don't let the ball dictate where you go. Honestly, his style is not that hard to master, but it is somewhat counter-intuitive.
@V: I knew you'd pick him, so I said: still active players haha =)
@The Game: That's what amazes me about him. Others try so hard using the most difficult skills to go past defenders, but he makes it look so easy.

You had to add that feature... Very well then, I'd pick Pirlo.
I think I'd pick Iniesta as well, but hopefully one day Eden Hazard will be as good.
So I was bored in work yesterday and watched too much youtube videos. First it was a compilaton of different players, but then I unintenionally ended up watching videos of one player only. When I noticed that, I thought "Damn.. I'd like to play like him". So basically the idea of this thread is to come up with a still active player (no Zidane for you, guys :-P), who you admire and whom you'd like to be if you were reincarnated. Make sure to state reasons and to post a vid.
For me, that player would definitely be Andres Iniesta. He's one of my favourite players since a couple of years, because it's just fascinating to watch him playing football. Everytime I see what he's doing with the ball, passing players as if they were slalom poles, it instantly makes me wanna grab a ball and go outside. Unfortunately he doesn't earn the recognition he actually deserves, because there's a guy called Lionel Messi in his team. Still, he's one of the greatest of his generation (and of all time) and I find the name of the video below very appropriate: The Dribbling Magician! He may not use the most difficult and fancy skills, but he uses very effective skills to go past defenders and that's even more important. Moreover, I admire his ability to stay calm in EVERY situation, whether it's a 1 vs 5 situation or a 1 vs 1 situation against Pepe. He always knows what to do and - sort of - refuses to lose the ball. I love his passing, his vision, his dribbling, his ball control.. everything's just great about him. For me he's a real inspiration and I'd love to have him in my team.
I'd be interested in hearing your opinions, so make sure to leave a comment and a vid. Thanks =)
