Tough one.
I would go for Brazil 2002, Spain 2010, then Italia 2006
Defense of Italy, Spanish midlefield and Ronaldo - Ronaldinho - Rivaldo up front, sounds decent lol.
Im going for Brazil of 2002 too...
Brazil 2002 for me too.
Although I think France 2006 was a bit better, but they didn't win the WC.
Since the 1994 World Cup in the United States began, five different teams have won the seven trophies on offer, but which is the best? From Zinedine Zidane's France of 1998 to Andres Iniesta's 2010 winning Spain team, a plethora of famous names have held aloft football's greatest prize.
- BRAZIL 1994
Mario Zagallo had Rai and Leonardo as his two starting central midfielders but, after the group stage, the coach decided to bring in Mazinho in a tactical shift that lasted for the entire knockout rounds.
- FRANCE 1998
Les Bleus tinkered little throughout their home triumph, Thierry Henry and Christian Karembeu trading places while Patrick Viera, Sylvain Wiltord and David Trezeguet were among the bench options. Although, Laurent Blanc was suspended for the final to allow Frank Leboeuf a famous outing.
- BRAZIL 2002
Juninho and Kleberson swapped around along the way for Brazil in 2002 with Denilson among the players routinely picked during games. With Ronaldo Nazario, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo up front, what needed to change?
- ITALY 2006
It was a team famous for spreading the goalscoring load and Marcello Lippi perfectly managed his Azzurri charges in Germany, with Alessandro Del Piero the unlucky man to miss out on a starting spot in the final.
- SPAIN 2010
Vicente del Bosque could rely on a consistent set of stars to send La Roja to glory, Iniesta spearheading a midfield that consisted of Xavi, Xabi Alonso and Sergio Busquets. Only Pedro's place was disputed, leading to chances for David Silva and Fernando Torres.
- GERMANY 2014
Outside of this XI, Germany called upon Per Mertesacker, Christoph Kramer and World Cup final matchwinner Mario Gotze off the bench.
- FRANCE 2018
In the group stages, Corentin Tolisso and Ousmane Dembele featured in the XI before Didier Deschamps settled on Blaise Matuidi and Olivier Giroud as France won only their second World Cup trophy.
Which team was the best ? and why ?
