What would you have done? (case RvP)

First, I wanna point out, that I'm not asking this because I'm extremely mad of RvP's transfer seasons ago, just saw these comments in Daily Mail (where comment section is better than the actual articles).

"This man could have been a legend if it weren't for that little boy
inside. So many have a Premier League trophy to their name but precious
few become legends. United fans are already forgetting him and he's lost
more love from Arsenal fans than he will ever gain elsewhere"

"He got his PL medal, but he'll be a forgotten man in a few years .. Just
look at Anderson, Cleverly... etc. RvP could've been a legend , a
premier league one club man."

So basically the point is, would you have those 250k a week, 1 PL trophy and forgotten name in future. Or 120k a week, a legend in the club and FA Cup & (possible PL trophy in future? (I know, possible))

What would you've done in RvP's shoes? Try to be as objective as possible, think about yourself and forget that you're a fan of Arsenal or Man Utd, it's not about that.

Thx for opinions. As I said before, it's not about just this case, but this was just a great example - the big question is about priorities, what is the thing (/ or those things) that mean the most to a player. The point about Totti/Stevie G being bigger legend than Pedro or Wes Brown is a really good point imo. I personally think that being a legend for a club is something you can't measure with money.

@tiki Like HorseAFC said, straight after the stadium money was paid off, Arsenal are now financially stable and can spend money (wisely obviously still) but Özil, Alexis etc show that the money is there.

Another point is he could've moved to a club abroad, if it was all about thinking Arsenal wouldn't win trophies and he would want them.

@thegame "Would he have been able to win the PL trophy or contribute significantly
to the UCL run with Arsenal had he been Arsenal's first choice striker,
instead of Giroud?" yep it wouldn't have been certain, but like I tried to say, it would've been a possibility (tiny or big, whatever:) though.

Im not talking about now, things are different now since Ozil joined, the club changed his budget policy, but it took 4 years of saving money, and 4 years in a career is Huge, Nasri left for the same reason, he wanted to win and Arsene wasnt showing any strenght in the transfer market while rivals were getting more and more stronger...

By the way, i never heard about the club president ( owner ? ), never attend games, i dont know even what is he looking like, but for him it was quite sure that buisness was over sportive results because in those cases, many clubs took money from banks to not wait that long before comming back to competition...

Thats why Wenger for me isnt the responsible or at least the responsible number 1, but then i wont make the thread off topic.

@tiki yep it's kinda fucked up the owner policy currently. We have Stan "silent Stan" Kroenke who only cares about money, never attends games. There is this guy called Uzmanov too, who's really eager to make Arsenal powerful and spend lots of money, but he has less power because I guess he has less shares in our club.
Also the thing with Wenger, after all it was kinda financially clever to sell RvP, 250k a week for injury prone (had about 2 full seasons w/ Arsenal) and 29-year-old player is way too much - got also 24m price for selling him.

Went kinda offtopic but whatever.

Two things Arsenal need.
1st Usmanov takeover, get rid of Kroenke.
2nd Lower ticket prices.
