Vidic has the quality, he will do well in Italy. Like when Lucio signed from Bayern. Very solid no nonsense CB.

Vidic our best CB? He's been really disappointing as a captain and it was bound to happen that he was going to leave.
Obviously gutted that one of our most loyal players are gone but we have to reshape the squad.

Vidic will be missed. Looks like the gaffer has a big plan for a replacement,hopefully. Meh 32 year old ACL surgery limited matches we all know it was time for him to move on. Good luck in Italy.

Yeah, he's 32 and coming back from an injury. Was expecting someone younger like Subotic.. Now Vidic is here, so we see what happens.

This is a really strange transfer for many reasons. When the new Inter president Thohir took over he vowed that youth will be paramount in the rebuilding process. After all we offloaded senior high earners who won the treble. Julio, Lucio, Maicon. Motta, Eto'o, Sneijder etc. As to have focus on bringing young players through to build a new team for the future. Now Inter sign Vidic who has been quite poor for United over the season, 30+ and to top it off he's coming back from an injury. What was the point of selling off the quality high earners Inter had just to do 180 degree come back and sign an over the hill player like Vidic. Ok, he's coming on free transfer but his wages will be high. Those wages could be better used elsewhere. Sign players for the future not 30+ for a year or two with high wages.. Also, I don't get why this was made public so early.

It's a good signing actually, they want someone experienced to assist the young players. I get your point about the treble seniors, they could have kept some of them for this pourpose. Fact is that they're gone, and a presence like that is still needed in the dressing room.

^ You are right because Moyes doesn't know how to choose the right players but Vidic was a veteran and he was the best amongst the shitty defense.

@wolf you forget that most of your experienced players are leaving in the summer. It makes sense when you look at it this way

Samuel and Chivu.. more likely on the their way out this summer. Zanetti and Milito , probably. Cambiasso, maybe he'll stay for another season or two.. I'd rather have the experience come from players who know the club, rather from a new arrival like Vidic..
Anyway, I hope he finds his form and turns into a monster player for Inter like we all know he can .

I don't mean to be rude, but why does it seem like the two Milan teams sign a lot of "zombie" type players. By "zombie" type, I mean suffered a lot of injuries, are over 30 y/o, and were bench players in their previous club?

Was Vidic really the best option? Why didn't they try to go for a younger prospect? If it's a free transfer then that's great and all, but how much does he have packed in his aging body to help Inter out, will be above 120k?

Ha.. what "zombie" and "bench" players have Inter signed before? Forlan was a real disappointment, one of my favourite players.. Really wanted him to do well but certainly not a "Zombie". WC Golden Ball,Copa America, Europa cup (2010-11)..Just didn't work out at Inter is all. Milan usually the one's who get a lot of 30+ superstars.. Now Milan has a younger squad after 11/12.. Inter 30+ have been in club for a long time.
Was vidic best option? Not all of us have Billionaire owners who can spend 30 mil on a defender, V.. ;] Thohir perhaps played pes 2008 recently and was very impressed with Vidic. xD
I would have liked someone younger and more mobile CB for sure. Vidic could do well at Inter though. He has all the qualities..
