Interesting. The link states:

Barcelona striker David Villa has left the door open for a switch to England after turning down a move to Atletico Madrid.

Diego Simeone’s side, who recently beat Real Madrid to win the Copa del Rey, were keen to tempt the 31-year-old to the Vicente Calderon, but have been rebuffed by the striker, according to Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo.

Villa’s position at Barcelona is far from clear, with the hitman unhappy at a less than central role and seriously considering leaving in order to ensure he is in fine fettle for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The Spain international was the subject of interest from Arsenal in the January transfer window and the Gunners are expected to rekindle that desire this summer.

But another English side, in the shape of Tottenham Hotspur, are also keen on the goal-getter.

And Villa, who is believed to be ready to move to England, has firmly opened the door for such a switch by refusing to consider joining Atletico Madrid.

The striker joined Barcelona in the summer of 2010 from Valencia

Arsenal and spurs have 2 common targets : David Villa and Benteke.
it will be interesting to see wich club is more attractive, Arsenal has lost a bit of attractiveness in the last years, it's the opposite for spurs. transfers this summer will be decisive for the two teams since their level is equivalent this year.

The most exciting move Villa could make in his career right now would be a move to England. He's done it all in Spain. I would love to see him in the PL. I don't care which team.

I have a terrible feeling that Villa will end up at Spurs as it is all quiet on Arsenal's end about him. I think they told him it was now or never in January and I think they meant it.
In any case, I won't be too upset if we can land Higuain instead!

Higuain is younger but more expensive. Tito doesnt trust Villa, i prefer for him to leave and have some glorious moments with another team than warming the bench with Barça. this player deserves to play in a big team.
'' El guaje '' would be perfect for EPL big five, his objective is to be ready for wc 2014 i don't think he will go to Atletico or return to Valencia...
