Tottenham are strengthening in all the correct positions. He's an excellent CB, and coming from Ajax will be able to play out from the back as AVB would like.  There's also news that they're trying to sign Hugo Lloris from Lyon. If they can pull it off, that would be one bad ass defense.  If they procure a prolific striker & attacking creative midfielder, I would argue they could be title challengers.

I think it's ABD's time to shine would like to see spurs finish in the top 5 this season again!
