Should LvG be sacked?

LvG's Overall Record

enter image description here

Louis Van Gaal has already lost more games with United than he did with less than 2 seasons at Bayern. He has the worst overall winning record of his career with United. He is certainly not living up to his potential, especially since he has been afforded arguably more transfer funds to get the players he wants than he did anywhere else.

1) Should he be sacked?
2) If so, who should his replacement be?

IMO, I think we should stick with him for the remainder of his contract and give him that one more season. Let him bring a couple of more quality signings this January or Summer and we'll see what happens next. We are good enough to get top 4. But the title seems to be going City's or Arsenal's anyways and those teams haven't even clicked yet.

United have more problems than just LVG. I don't know the club well enough to understand what these problems are, but every time I watch them it is the most boring football I can tune into throughout all of Spain and England. I'm not sure if this is entirely LVG's fault, but United should definitely be doing better with the set of players that they have.

if we try to compare squad between teams, City and Chelsea have better squad than man united.. LVG aint man united material.. Even he did say that he is building a squad for the next boss, the results till now are more like underachievements.. A glorious club like man united deserve WORLD CLASS coach like Mourinho(no disrespect) Guardiola Ancelotti or even Laurent Blanc .. So:

  1. Yes
  2. Mourinho or Guardiola or Ancelotti or Laurent Blanc( One of these guys)

this is my opinion..

EDIT: i do know some ex man united legends like Neville and gigs are somewhat coaching.. i dont think they are ready yet for the united job..

Personally I don't understand why go on with such plan from the first time. They had Fergie he built them a squad that gave them a bunch of titles then Moyes comes and has a disasterous season then they appoint a Manager with some expreience for 3 years to build a squad for the next one. Just why? They could appoint an already proven manager in BPL or stick with someone who wants to stay and fill Sir Alex's shoes. ManU nowadays doesnt make you feel like the Sir Alex era. Now not many teams are afraid of them and with todays game vs Norwich things are getting worse and worse. The best thing they can do is support their team and hope for the best. LVG at least doesn't have to deal with problems Mourinho faced this year.

Yes, he should be sacked. I would like either Ancelotti or Pep Guardiola to replace him.

I do not think he should be sacked. United knew what they were getting when he was getting hired. The last 3 games, were not on LVG. I mean he had 9 starters out last week. Today, we were unlucky. And to be honest, that Wolfsburg game we were unlucky too. I think if anyone deserves the blame, its the players. Martial missed a sitter last week. You can't expect to win games with misses like that. I understand that a majority of United fans are frustrated. I agree with them. The long ball tactics are a little annoying. And we're playing decent in possession too...just not finding that final ball. I can agree that his team selections are a mistake. At least two players in each line up do not deserve to be in that position. But before we fire him, here are the things we need to consider. 1. Who will replace him mid year? I mean of the top coaches only Mou/Carlo are avalable. I don't trust Giggsy with the defense. 2. Say Mou/Ancelotti takes up, what is going to happen to the promising Youth players? 3.Can you guarantee success with the new coach?

2 possible option for me: First, they keep him until the transfer window and if thing doesn't get better after he got some new player, sack him or second, sack him now, hire someone which is loved or respected by many to make it easier to recruit new player in the winter transfer. Then again, I might be putting a bit too much hope in the coming transfer window.

Buying more players isn't the answer, and it never was. We don't get the best out of the ones we have, and until we do, buying more is irresponsible and rejecting the bigger picture.

I don't expect to challenge for the title this season, and I'm ok with that. But this three year plan of his has to show improvement from last year, and so far, it hasn't, in fact, it's been the opposite. Does this look like a team that will in the league next year? I thought so at the start of the season, now I've done a 360 on that opinion.

All that being said, he should stay until at least the end of the season. If we don't make top four, he'll probably get fired, but I won't be calling for his head.

@SunFlash Well, I kinda disagree with you there, I think Manchester United could really use a quality Center Foward wich is in form and is mature enough to finish the chance the team create. This is only my advice of course and I'll respect yours if don't agree.

Buying buying is never an answer for us. But YES! I agree with Emobot7 we completely lack of creativity in the central mid... Rooney is not and never has been an answer for that, despite working really hard.

But we have more problem than just that, we have spent an enormous amount with pretty lame result, and worst of all, I cant enjoy our games 1 bit... Im sure there are fans who disagree but there are lots of others who agree with me. Our game is boring and dreadful... And our stand is not great either.

LVG philosophy and his cockiness really bother me, the way he treats players who are not in his favor is really horrible too. I was SO HAPPY when he was appointed, but now... He should be sacked, I can not stand his football for another year :(

I have a hard time believing that anyone we bring in, no matter how good their form was elsewhere, would keep playing at that level in United. Every signing LVG has made has played better before they came, and everyone he has sold has played better where they are now. (Save RVP).

Like I said, ignoring that and simply buying more players isn't the answer. We have the people, we have the quality, now we need to make it work.

@SunFlash Well, you do have a point, but in any case, I fear LVG won't change his tactic or be sacked right this moment, yet, I still think MU has the potential to have a fair result this year in term of position.

@tuan_jinn I feel your pain, buddy, but be patient, I think Manchester United will sooner or later have a new manager, and he will hopefully make his team play beautiful football. And when that happen, United will be one of the most interesting team to watch in all of europe once more. ;)
