I know he does, I think Ribery deserves it a little bit more but my point is I feel neither of them is getting it..
Also, if Ronaldo gets it I wouldn't be disappointed because I feel he had a very decent campaign this season.

It ought to go to someone from Bayern, but lets be honest, Messi will probably nick it again. It will be another injustice since the 2010 Ballon d'Or when Sneijder clearly deserved it over Messi.
@TheGame
Certainly. Sneijder, Xavi, and Iniesta all deserved it more in 2010. And I strongly felt that the 2012 Ballon d'Or ought to have been Iniesta's, not Messi's or Ronaldo's. The Ballon d'Or is basically a popularity contest now, rather than an actual award like it used to be.
^^ You mean, since it was taken over by FIFA?
Quelle surprise...
^^ Yep. Quite frankly, FIFA kisses Messi's ass too much.
Before, at France Football. It was decided by Football press. Now, it's by players and coaches.
I agree for 2010, Iniesta was the man, but c'mon at 2012, the incredible december and all goal scoring year, breaking all records,it could be Drogba last year but players and coaches had voted.
@Tiki_taka
True, but Drogba only performed for the first half of the season. After that, he went to China and no one cared about him anymore. Iniesta on the other hand, was brilliant all year round. Not only that, but he won the EURO and did it in style (and picked up the UEFA Player of the Year and EURO Golden Ball too). Iniesta was THE man for 2012.
And that's exactly how Messi won the 2012 Ballon d'Or. Just GOALS alone. That didn't work in the past, why should FIFA make it like that now? When will a defender ever win the Ballon d'Or then? A midfielder? Will it simply be the highest scorer in WF every year? That's utter nonsense.

Life and Football are not fair, you already know it. It will be voted by coaches and national teams captains and we will see, both Ribery and Messi will be a logical choice.
