1992-2015 best XI

I feel like the forum lacks deep discussion, so what better way to discuss meaningless points that with an all time XI we are all familiar with.

This is a formation built by the youtube channel Copa90 featuring the all time greatest squad of the Champions League.

As for me, Im only a little disappointed with the bias choice on the midfield and probably the main striker as well. I would have gone for a different formation but that wouldn't matter that much. As for the rest of the squad it seems to be based on valid stats and reasons.

Just try to argue using the most relevant reasons possible, or else this thread will just not work as planned.

Neuer should be the GK without anu doubt. I respect Casillas, buffon and Valdes. But Neuer deserves to be in it.
Defenders seems to be fair enough.

But in Midfield, you just cant put Xavi alone, its either xavi and iniesta or none. So I'd put down Seedorf, and bring inesta in.
I feel bad tho for not putting busquets in, he is by far the best Holding midfielder in the world. He patches all holes. But its gonna be Xavi-Iniesta-Zidane.

Forwards seems to be fair and it could be a debate for comparing Raul/Ronaldo lima/Suarez But Raul will take it.

I completely agree with that formation and squad except I would replace Seedorf with Iniesta. That's all. Raul - Ronnie - Leo combination would be deadly. The defense is as solid as it gets, although I would've liked to see Vidic instead of Puyol because I've always found Vidic to be much better. The 'keeper spot comes down to Buffon and Casillas for me. I have no idea what they're doing even mentioning Valdes in the same breath as Casillas. Although Buffon is the better 'keeper, Casillas has found more success in the CL so it's justified that he stays in the lineup. But the lineup is more or less accurate.

Pretty fair vidéo, glad to see Scholes getting the credit he deserves, best English player of his era, only recognized after his retirement.
And Etoo ( 4 Cl with 3 diferent teams ) is in the bench, Pirlo, Iniesta, Roberto Carlos, Terry, Robben and many others...

Keepers: Buffon/Neuer
Back Four: Maldini, Lahm, Hierro, R Carlos (Sub Vidic, Chiellini, Thiago Silva)
Mid: Xavi, Zidane, Iniesta (Sub Pirlo, Scholes)
Forward Three: Messi, C Ronaldo, Ronaldinho (Sub Ronaldo Luis, Henry)

Not including Raul is rough as he was/is one of the greats.
