Transfer Summer 2017, stars who haven't found new club!!! Who wants who?
tuan_jinn 7 years ago Edited
Manchester United, Netherlands 198 6912

The summer transfer window is closing soon, and there are big names who haven't found their new destination yet. Some are still featuring in either club or national team or both. Some have been on the bench but has much experience to offer once they accept lower salary.

Some are overrated :D. Who in THE MOST UNLIKELY CASE do you want to be in your club?

Goalie: Anders Lindegaard
Age: 33
Current/Last Club: Preston North End
Quite an unreliable goalie

Striker: Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Age: 36
Current/Last Club: M.U
Out due to injury, a charater and a champ. Not sure if he will be easily fade in with any club now

RB: Bacary Sagna
Age: 34
Current/Last Club: Man City
Vast experiences, hardworking, high salary demand though

CB/Libero: Sebastien Bassong
Age: 31
Current/Last Club: Norwich
Strong, perfect for mid table club!

CB/Libero: Kolo Toure
Age: 36
Current/Last Club: Celtic
Nah, this is the guy I think make the MOST stupid crucial mistake. I would never want him

LB: Benoit Tremoulinas
Age: 31
Current/Last Club: Sevilla
Played 37 games last season, Dont know why he wasn't offered a new contract here?

CDM/CAM/CM: Joe Ledley
Age: 30
Current/Last Club: Crystal Palace
Didn't play for club since Feb, but has done great for national team. Perfect for lower mid clubs in England

CDM/CAM/CM: Jan Kirchhoff
Age: 26
Current/Last Club: Sunderland
From Bayern, injury prone, :( huge potential, but can't rely on him for more than 10 games a season.

CDM/CAM/CM: Youssouf Mulumbu
Age: 30
Current/Last Club: Norwich
Strong, hardworking, Went down hill with Norwich, perfect for 1st division clubs.

CDM/CAM/CM: Zoran Tosic
Age: 30
Current/Last Club: CSKA Moscow
Former MU's potential, did great for CSKA for 7 years, got kicked out now :D He might be great for club like Everton or Stoke City or Valencia :D

Striker: Giuseppe Rossi
Age: 30
Current/Last Club: Celta Vigo
One of the most wasteful cases. Injury prone :(

I think Zlatan is an easy choice, but Benoit Tremoulinas is a very decent technical, hard working player for us. :( not likely to happen though

From that group I'll take Giuseppe Rossi. Good striker, he was great with Villareal and the few other games he played in La Liga. It's so sad to see how injuries have destroyed his career :< Other option is Zlatan, but I can't stand his ego. We already have our fair share of that at Madrid and we've managed to keep it under control :)

Also, from looking at Rossi's past clubs I had no idea this was a thing at one point :o enter image description here

Obviously Zlatan would be awesome as a back up to lukaku to play in other competitions maybe and to give the club extra depth in the attacking sector

Who voted for Kolo Toure???? :D:D:D:D

Rossi can still have one good season if he stays out of injuries, he had one brilliant game with Celta scoring hattrick. He still has it but injuries are shittiest thing that can happen in football. Also Tremoulinas isn't actually anything special for Sevilla, Escudero is simply better and Mercado can play LB, but they wanted Amavi who failed medical... so it's kinda complicated.

Right now I realised it would be nice to have Ibra at Bayern ;(

Joe Ledley if only for his beautifull beard... Nah, I'm joking, Zlatan all the way. ;)

@Croatian: that's the problem, isn't it? In top competition, it's almost impossible for him to stay out of injuries, that needs a couple of month to fully recover, get confident back etc.. :( 2 times a year and the season is over.

It's exactly what happens with Reus, thats why he would never leave BVB, and no club would buy him.

@Emo: lolll, he still thinks it's no November and November is coming which is actually a no November for him, no?

@croatian Would be great if you could use him as a backup, not sure Lewandoski would like that though. ;P

@tuan_jinn Indeed. XD

Bring Tosic if not Zlatan. Will give us depth in the midfield and I think will make a good sub

I'd take Kolo to the media team, he was such a funny guy, wouldn't take him into the pitch doh :)

I wouldn't mind Riyad Mahrez, if he's still considered a star, but I'm gonna have to go with Ibra since he can still deliver goals.

@iHEART Mahrez not so much on the leave anymore though, seem like he is set to remain in Leicester after all. Barca might move for him if they can't secure any other of their target to be fair. :)

I'd take Kolo for the team spirit,

How is Joe Ledley still a free agent????

Indeed Kolo is a funny guy, but he's too clumsy and lead to disaster, and that's not good for any spirit. I dont know, I just feel like the guy is 1 huge overrated player.
