This does not surprise me. For those who didn't know, he group up playing in the infamous cages of Feyenoord. The "pitch" was concrete, and the cages were small so you had to dribble well (b/c of the limited space) but also because you didn't want to hurt yourself by falling on the floor.

RVP was a proficient #10 since he was young but was gradually transformed into a CF. This means he has the rare ability to both set up & finish his own goals, and that is one of the reasons he is one of the best strikers in the world.
