2) Hugo Sanchez : 234 goals / 347 apps.

3) Raul : 228 goals / 550 apps.

4) Alfredo Di stefano : 227 goals / 329 apps.

5) Cesar Rodriguez : 223 goals / 353 apps.

6) Lionel Messi : 220 goals / 249 apps.

7) Quini : 219/ 248 apps.

8) Pahino : 210 / 278 apps.

9) Edmundo Suarez : 195 / 231 apps.

10) Carlos Santillana : 186 / 461 apps.

13) David Villa : 172 goals / 317 apps.

15) Samuel Etoo : 162 goals / 317 apps.

17) Ferenc Puskas : 156 goals / 180 apps.

21) Cristiano Ronaldo : 146 goals / 136 apps.

Only Villa, Ronaldo and Messi can change the ranks, and i wanted to share this list just, for an obvious reason :)
Another record for Messi will be broken this year no doubt. He needs 35 goals to be the best scorer of La liga history at only 26 years old. Speechless.

Ronaldo is 82 goals behind Raul's record for Real Madrid. ( 2 seasons could be enough ?? )

I'd love to see Villa reach the top 10. But Messi will get the number 1 spot this season or very early the next one and that is very scary.

The scary thing is Messi hasn't even reached his prime. People usually hit their prime around 28-29.

^ Yes, but Messi partly relies on his explosive speed as a footballer. Age won't make him faster.

The goal/apps ratio of CR7 is impressive, superior to 1. That prooves how strong he is, Messi has a ratio of 0.89 goal per match, but he started to score more goals at the age of 21yo, his actual ratio past 3 years is 1.5 goal per match. I really don't see how Bale and Neymar could compete here, they should be in 4 different teams...
I don't know if Neymar would stay 3 seasons without having a main role in the team, we'll see.

^^ I think Bale will have to either hit the ground running (i.e. score a bucketload early on), or he'll be deemed a 'flop', like Modric was.

In his favour, though, is the fact that the defenders won't close him down as much, and he'll be able to use his pace and power to even greater effect than in the PL.

We shall see...

Re: Ronaldo's ratio:

Yeah, it's crazy. The guy is a freak of nature. However, in the last 3 seasons Messi's ratio has been even higher -- his all-time ratio is offset by his early seasons, where he was not the focal point of the team.

They're scary.

Quite frankly, if Ronaldo can cost 80 Mil and average almost a goal per game in his debut season (33 goals in 35 games), Bale is expected to do at least that much in his debut season since he cost 85 Mil.

Haha! Ronaldo again, shows that his record spans over the CL as well. It may not be as proficient as his La Liga record, but 95% of players average more goals in their league than in the Champions League. So his 35 goals in 40 games in the CL is a true testament of his talent against tough opposition. Not to mention Messi's even-better record of 42 goals in 46 games in the last 4 years of CL competition. ;)
