Top 10 prodigies in La Liga
Dynastian98 11 years ago
Real Madrid 483 7140

So I made this list myself, and tell me if I missed anyone. I hope you enjoy, and remember, this is strictly my opinion, so feel free to object.

NOTE :: I did not include Deulofeu or Jese because they don't play in La Liga. Neymar has been excluded as well because he's well known by everyone already, and I wanted to do this list without him. All price tags and statistics have been taken from transfermarkt and are in EUROS.

10. Dani Carvajal (8.000.000)/Martin Montoya (10.000.000)

Remember how Arbeloa was Spain's weak spot in the EURO's last year? Well, Del Bosque won't have to worry anymore. These two Barcelona and Madrid youngsters are neck-to-neck competition already for teh Spanish RB spot. Carvajal was considered to be the second-best RB in the Bundesliga last season, finishing with 1 goal and 8 assists. On the other hand, Barcelona fans will be wondering why Dani Alves hasn't been replaced by Montoya yet, as Martin shows great promise, and a stronger work ethic in terms of defense than Alves.

9. Alvaro Morata (9.000.000)

With Gonzalo Higuain set to leave this summer, the one and only rightful heir to the Real Madrid striker spot is Alvaro Morata. The 20-year-old has won the U-21 Golden Boot, despite having scored three of his four goals as a substitute, and looks to be the next Raul, provided that he gets the proper playing time.

8. Iker Muniain (18.000.000)

Although his price tag may be high, Iker Muniain has failed to reach expectations this season. A meager 1 goal and 1 assist does not do his talent justice, but like the rest of his team, he has struggled this season. Nevertheless, he is a Spanish prodigy, and could very well be dragged away from his boyhood club if the right offer comes in.

7. Antoine Griezmann (15.000.000)

The Real Sociedad man has been the focus of the Basque outfit's attack this season alongside Carlos Vela. A promising youngster, the Frenchman 10 goals and 5 assists this season in La Liga. Speedy, tricky skills, and great promise puts him at 7th on my list.

6. Geoffrey Kondogbia (10.000.000)/ Leo Baptistao (7.000.000)

The reason I put these two at sixth is that although I've heard plenty of them, I've only seen them play a handful of times. Leo has just moved to Atletico, and registered 7 goals and 7 assists last season with Rayo. Kondogbia is a DM who's become the heart of the Sevilla midfield.

5. Koke (14.000.000)

A brilliant midfielder, Koke and the two Spanish midfielders above him on my list just about ensure the succession of the Catalan trio of Cesc, Iniesta, and Xavi. Much like the latter, Koke is a brilliant play-maker, proven by his 11 assists this La Liga season. He's been the midfielder who's been the supply to Radamel Falcao's endless goals, and has played an important role in Spain's U-21 success, as he assisted one of Thiago's goals in the final against Italy.

4. Raphael Varane (25.000.000)

He may have only scored two goals this season, but the fact that both of these came against Barcelona make them all that much more important. Consider this, Real Madrid had been struggling in the first half of the season, and were, at one point, 18 points behind Barcelona. Half-way through the season, injuries to Pepe, Marcelo, Coentrao, and Arbeloa (as well as a suspension to Ramos), sees Madrid's back line completely non-existent. Cue, Raphael Varane. Came in as a 19-year-old, the boy has been outstanding. By far the best Madrid defender, yes, ahead of Ramos, he will no doubt play an important role in Madrid in years to come.

3. Thiago Alcantara (22.000.000)

The Spanish midfielder looks to seal a move to Manchester United, as he doesn't seem to be able to find a role in Barcelona. I am quite disappointed in Tito's handling of the youth players, as I feel that Pep showed much more confidence in them. If Pep was still here, we would've seen MUCH more of Thiago, and just how good he is. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just watch the U-21 EURO Final between Spain and Italy. His first-half hat trick pulled him up to win the Silver Boot in the competition.

With Xavi aging, and Fabregas disappointing, Barcelona fans would be wondering if Tito is handling his squad properly. Maybe if Fabregas was pushed up to a false nine position, giving Messi and Iniesta more space on the wings, Thiago can break into the team. But his mind already seems tot be made up, as he heads for United.

2. Thibaut Courtois (18.000.000)

As the next big GK in line, Thibaut Courtois is headed straight for greatness. He's only conceded 29 goals with Atletico in 37 La Liga appearances, and has kept 20 clean sheets. Winning the Zamora trophy ahead of both Willy Caballero and Victor Valdes, and not conceding a goal at the Calderon for 819 minutes in a row, shows how talented this Belgian prodigy is. Although he is still on loan from Chelsea at Atletico, it seems as if he isn't interested in returning to London. He's going to be at Atletico again next season on loan for the third time in a row, as he looks to finalize his deal to Atletico soon. But Atletico's debt and small budget may see him return to the English capital in 2014-15.

1. Isco (25.000.000)

The Valencia starlet broke into the Malaga team two years ago, and has stayed there ever since. Immense dribbling skills, and a knack for doing the spectacular as well, Isco just about is set to be one of Spain's best midfielders of the decade if he keeps this up. Scored 3 goals and gave 4 assists in the Champions League, and helped his team to the quarter finals, only to have his heart broken by a Borussia Dortmund late come-back. The Bronze Boot-winner of the U-21 championship looks to be set to a move to either Real Madrid or Manchester City this summer.

So what?
Anyone made a comparison here?
You are acting childish now.
Or to say it more precise you are acting like a 12 year old Man UTD fan who thinks that every United player is better than any other player..

@DonAndres, the only one who's acting childish here if you, kid. That list is Dynastians opinion, and we are free to object, which I did.

This list is about top 10 prodigies in La Liga!
and you come up saying that De gea is better?
No one made a comparison.
By saying that the most you can achieve is probably start a fight with someone else.

You forgot Canales and the next big spanish play maker Illarramendi.... These 2 you will definitely see in the national team in 5 years time

@knibis

Perhaps, but Canales is too injury-prone. Quite frankly, Isco, Thiago, and Koke are too good to be replaced right now. And Illaramendi has to first beat Busquets to Alonso's role.

@Vendetta and DonAndres

Thanks guys! Nice to see you appreciate my work. :')

@DonAndres

I'll try to do a list of the 10 greatest Real Madrid and Barcelona players soon, if you're interested. Just post on my wall who you would rate as the 10 greatest Barcelona players in history, and I'll take it into consideration. ;)

I really can't compare those GK since they were both perfect this season...
Griezmann is awesome, i've been folowing him for a while, only Tello is missing to complete this good list imo.

@tiki_taka

Perhaps I overlooked Tello, but now that I think of it, I feel as if he does well because of the teammates surrounding him (Messi, Iniesta, Xavi) rather than of own independent talent. Thiago is much better in that aspect, and so is Deulofeu, as they both take initiative from themselves to use their talent, whereas Tello mostly just knocks the ball up the pitch and tries to run on to it. :/

I was not one of his fans at the start, but this year he has shown some good scoring abilities, anyway his progression in the team will stop, Neymar will take his place.
