Wenger's reaction on his 1,000th game:
^ Ashley Cole enjoying the game.
Well i think it says it all.
Found a funny joke on the Internet.
Oxlade-Chamberlain: But ref, it was me!
Ref: Shut up, or you're going off next Walcott!
^LOL.
My take-aways from this match.
Seriously, WTF. I can tell the difference between Gibbs and Ox from a television, and this ref can't even tell them apart from 20 yards. Just because they're both black and roughly the same height doesn't mean that you confuse them while sending one of them off. For Christ's sake, there's a number on their shirt. If you confuse two of them, at least remember which number handballed it to send off the right man. In a game as big as this too (not that it matters. Chelsea were going to win anyways). The Ox even went up to the ref to admit that he handballed it, and the ref still sends off a dumbfounded Gibbs.
Even Mourinho said that a little a small screen can be used to assist the referee, nothing more. When the man who calls Wenger a "specialist in failure" defends the Arsenal red card, you know how stupid Andre Marriner's decision really was.
2. Wretched 1000th game
My opinion on Wenger has been the same for a while now. He's too damn stubborn to remain at Arsenal. Yes, he was and is their greatest ever manager, but it's time for him to move on. The man has built up an amazing legacy, but he does not know how to adapt. The game is changing, the big EPL teams are changing, football is changing. But Wenger's tactics are not. 9 years without a trophy is too big of a time span for Arsenal to be considered a "big team" any longer. Wenger should just win the FA Cup, and leave Arsenal with a little taste of success (amidst a whole lot of failure).
A clear comparison of tactical shifts would be Mourinho. His annoyingly boring defensive tactics at Porto and Inter changed suddenly to an all-out offensive set-up with Real Madrid. That's how a successful manager adapts. He was pressured into entertaining hte crowd while simultaneously being successful, and he did it. He made RM entertaining. That's how a modern manager should be: adaptable. Can't say the same about Wenger. Tactics that worked back in the early 2000's won't work anymore.
Even against Bayern, Wenger was clearly setting up for damage limitation. Let's admit it, Arsenal had no clear change on Bayern. Podolski's goal was fantastic, but it's not a clear-cut chance. It's just Podolski unleashing a rocket from a tight angle. THat's not going to happen very often. If Wenger set his team up to pressurize Bayern more, then the Gunners maybe would've had some chance. But they probably still wouldn't score, and rather would have Bayern score a crapload more goals on them. Why? Because Wenger refused to buy any players this winter transfer window even though it was obvious Arsenal lacked depth of quality. And now he's suffering.
And to all those blaming sh*t on Ozil........ Look how Arsenal are without him. Barely beat Spurs, and got hammered by Chelsea.
lol at this thread. I thought we are going to hear some discussions about the performance lol
Seriously though.... wtf Arsenal? What do some arsenal fans feel about this? Arsenal can't perform against strong teams this season..... Not just losing... losing in such a big manner. Is it the players? Manager?
Funny how right after I posted my comment, you posted about their performance lol
I agree with you in everything, including "even though it was obvious Arsenal lacked depth of quality", but Arsenal can do better with that, even if they lack depth.
Arsenal lacks a good forward but the same goes for chelsea... and Arsenal somehow get hammered 6-0. I think that was the highest scoreline Chelsea ever had since mourinho came to coach this season. Whether it was 10 men or 11 men, Arsenal looked like they were going to lose....
Not spending money shouldn't be an excuse anymore.
Why is Arsenal playing like bottom-table teams towards top teams in epl? I can't blame anyone else but Wenger for these huge losses....
@Heavenduel
Within a few years, they've lost.
2-8 to United
0-6 to Chelsea
3-6 to City
1-5 to L'pool
1-4 to Barcelona
1-2 to Birmingham in the CC final
0-4 to AC Milan
1-3 to Bayern at home.
........... too much for Wenger. Getting kinda ridiculous at this point.
EXACTLY what my thought is @Dynastian, seriously, Wenger and Arsenal have been praised for being the best football style in England, but we all know one thing, they are getting no where. Wenger is just too slow to adapt to the ever changing of football world... it was funny, but now its not anymore... it's sad!
I wouldn't know what to say about the game, because I didn't bother to watch after the red card!!! I don't know what to think really. There is a point where you have to accept that our team sucks. We have a good number of really great players, but we need really great players all over the pitch. Else we won't challenge for the title. So either we have the fonds and wenger moves his ass to get the world class players we need in the summer, or we keep losing the way we did.
Our squad is not strong enough, that's why it's been so hard after losing our best players (walcott and ramsey especially) to injury.
My body is ready to absorb all the humiliation from other fans. I'm beyond pissed off, I'm at the point of acceptance and not caring. So bring on your best arsenal jokes biatches !!
@Dyna= "A clear comparison of tactical shifts would be Mourinho. His annoyingly boring defensive tactics at Porto and Inter changed suddenly to an all-out offensive set-up with Real Madrid."
What an utter load of BS. I'd bet in Mourinho's entire time as manager of Porto and Inter you didn't even watch 5 games. If you know so much, why don't you get your manager badges and go coach a team. Show Wenger how it's done. -.-
Today Arsenal were bested by a team that has an endless supply of money and a great tactician coach. From the start Arsenal were not given any time to get comfortable. The game was over after 8 minutes. The penalty just added insult to injury.
Wenger is a great manager but there's not much he can do with the squad he has. The best he can get out t of them is CL qualification and maybe a league cup. Against the top 3 his squad is heavily outclassed. Only player you can call World class at Arsenal is maybe Özil and they have relied on him too much since he signed to be the difference in big games. That's too much pressure for one person. He did enough since joining. He had an instant impact which saw Arsenal top the league. Wenger made a huge mistake not signing another player in January. They need to spend in the summer or it will be the same next season. Arsenal will never be able to compete against the likes of City or Chelsea with their tight budget. Wenger has done well with what he has..
Reaction after the final score.
@Wolfie
The only way you actually debate with someone is by insulting them and everything they say. So I'm not even going to bother. :P
@Dyna - An insult to you is when someone doesn't agree with what you're saying. Time and time again you tried unsuccessfully to paint me as a bad guy.. For a short time it almost worked, but I think now people can see through your BS.

guys, chill. @Wofie, no deny that Wenger is a great coach, but his team is obviously too naive in the last few years. And statistically winning games aint mean much compare to winning titles. :) what if I tell you Sir Alex won games those that matter most?

tuan, It's the same with Dyna every time.. Says something ludicrous, then when I call him out it's an insult. When I comment about cr7 technic - it's because I'm a "hater." If he was speaking facts he would tell me what "annoyingly boring defensive tactics " Mourinho used at Inter and Porto. No, it's much easier for him to just say I'm insulting him. My actions on FR speak louder than his or anyone else's accusations. I show respect, but it has to be mutual. Don't try and accuse me of imaginary things and expect me to be fine with it.
For your comment about titles. Could SAF won as many with the same budget as AW?

I think Arsene Wenger is terrific coach and I always admired him , but it is his transfer activities which are killing him . He needs a bigger squad. I know Arsenal has money but why they do not spend it , I don't know .
In Chelsea match , players simply did not perform . Arsenal players played like relegation team . It was not fully Arsene Wengers fault . We need to stop putting whole blame on Wenger or lately it became popular to blame Ozil .
Ten glorious things that came out of our 6-0 win:
Mourinho's biggest ever win as Chelsea manager.
Chelsea's biggest win ever against London rivals Arsenal
Chelsea become joint devastators to Arsenal's integrity with Man United's (8-2)
John Terry celebrated his 400th premier league start for Chelsea with a clean sheet.
50th premier league appearance for Cesar Azpilicueta sees him Man of The Match
Petr Cech now boast the most clean sheets in the league so far with 14 including 7 consecutive clean sheets at home.
6 goals from 5 different goalscorers.
Mohammad Salah scores his first goal for Chelsea
And 10. Jose still remains unbeaten at The Bridge
With this kind of attitude and performances, Arsenal may even finish up in Europa League. So it's really shocking to hear that a class like Arsenal getting thrashed like that. Clear evidence that players don't give a shit about football.
There is this one guy named Moh he appears on the most of the Arsenal Fan TV videos . He is a such loud mouth but after Chelsea game he disappeared . Pretty much disappears after almost every heavy defeat.
This fan reaction was worth of sharing .
