Actually they have been changing the format, from each other year to each 3 years and the current one each 4 years. And next year we will have another Copa America because it is the 100th anniversary of the tournament so they wanted to make it on the exact year and have a bigger tournament inviting many other countries.
It will keep on the each 4 years format after that.

Its also taking place few days before CL final, and this is very bad if Barça goes through because Messi, Javier, Neymar.... will all have to miss the start of the competition, to miss celebration in case they won silverwares and to not get some recovery time to be ready for the competition...

its nice that we can enjoy some class footy this summer aswell but i cant seam to get this...
The years its played is very irregular, sometimes every 2 years, sometimes every 3rd and since last time it has actully been 4 years but the next one is actually next summer in the US.. WTF?
And what is this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Copa_Am%C3%A9rica#Teams, Japan and China!!? invited? i mean its weird enough that USA are wellcomed to this tournament sometimes but sometimes not...
