Bale vs. Ronaldo
Speed
Bale - 9.5/10
Ronaldo - 9.5/10
Scarily fast, the both of them. Ronaldo can run 100 meters in 10 seconds, for those who didn't know. World record by Usain Bolt is 9.58.
Strength
Ronaldo - 8/10
Bale - 7.5/10
Ronaldo is of a more stocky build, but neither Ronaldo nor Bale are relatively "strong". The do fall over quite easily from challenges, but can ride them when they really feel like it. But since they just let the defenders hit them down most of the time, I'm not compelled to overrate them here.
Stamina
Ronaldo - 9/10
Bale - 9.5/10
Bale is a non-stop sprinting freak. Ronaldo is also a very capable athlete.
Dribbling and Ball Control
Ronaldo - 9/10
Bale - 8.5/10
Bale has great dribbling skills, but relies on his monstrous speed more than anything when dribbling past defenders. Ronaldo has terrific flair and every trick up his sleeve, but opts to use short passes nowadays in order to retain possession of the ball. But when he does choose to dribble, he puts on one hell of a show.
Finishing
Ronaldo - 9.5/10
Bale - 8/10
Ronaldo scores more than Bale, simple as that.
Heading
Ronaldo - 9.5/10
Bale - 6/10
Bale isn't known for scoring goals with his head, but Ronaldo scores at least 10 goals with his head every year. Three of his five goals this season actually came as headers.
Set Pieces
Ronaldo - 9.5/10
Bale - 8.5/10
What makes Ronaldo so high is not just his ability to TAKE a FK, but his ability on the RECEIVING end of one. He is lethal on the other end of a FK. Not to mention that his penalty record is tremendously high. Bale is also very good at taking FK's, but isn't as proficient from penalties or on receiving ends of set pieces.
Vision
Ronaldo - 8/10
Bale - 7/10
What is criminally underrated for Ronaldo is his tremendous creativity with his passing skills. He has yet to use them with full proficiency though, but still managed to create the second-most chances last season for a Real Madrid player (only behind Ozil). Bale is also a decent crosser and passer, but is not near Ronaldo's level. A Bale two years ago would be much more dedicated towards crossing and making plays than a Bale now.
Work Ethic
Ronaldo - 9.5/10
Bale - 9/10
Ronaldo and Bale both put in tremendous amounts of work into their games. It is very much unappreciated in this world just how much time Cristiano Ronaldo spends training.
Attitude
Ronaldo - 9/10
Bale - 8/10
Bale doesn't cause much trouble, but he has been caught diving blatantly on a couple of occasions. Ronaldo has improved his attitude tremendously, but a recent red card against Atletico pushes his rating down from what would otherwise be an almost flawless record.
Conclusion
Ronaldo - 90.5/100
Bale - 82.5/100
Messi - 86.5/100
Neymar - 74.5/100
The Ultimate Comparison #5 --> Neymar and Bale vs. Ronaldo and Messi
(Just how far ahead are the legends from the legends-in-making?)
Barcelona and Real Madrid have shocked the football world with big money buys this summer. Neymar, who had only one year remaining on his contract, has been bought for 57 M Euros, and Gareth Bale has been bought for more money than Ronaldo had cost Madrid (100 M Euros for Bale, 94 for Ronaldo). Lionel Messi is indeed homegrown, but Neymar's wages exceed Messi's at Barcelona. Likewise, Bale gets paid much more than Ronaldo at the moment.
So does Bale deserve a 300-k-pound-a-week wage? Does Neymar deserve 40 M Euros added to his regular wages to be with Los Merengues? Are they really going to be that much better than Ronaldo and Messi, the two of the greatest players in history? Let's find out.

Neymar vs. Messi
Speed
Messi - 9/10
Neymar - 8.5/10
Neymar is rather quick on his feet, but Messi's speed is comparable with Maradona's.
Strength
Messi - 7/10
Neymar - 5/10
Messi may be shorter than Neymar, but the way he uses what little strength he has to ride all those challenges coming his way is very impressive. Neymar is much more fragile though. He has yet to build up more muscle so that he doesn't get knocked over as frequently.
Stamina
Messi - 8/10
Neymar - 6.5/10
Messi tends to fade as games go on, but remember that he has had growth hormones artificially inserted into his body, so it probably isn't his fault. Neymar, on the other hand, has only played in the Brazilian league, and in La Liga, tends to be more of a "super sub" rather than a full 90 minute player. He needs to build his stamina much more.
Dribbling and Ball Control
Messi - 10/10
Neymar - 8.5/10
No explanation needed for Messi. Neymar is a talented dribbler, but needs more consistency with his dribbling. Often, he finds himself shut down by a defender before he can even take a second touch.
Finishing
Messi - 9.5/10
Neymar - 8/10
Messi scores more goals in a more difficult league than where Neymar made his reputation. Simple as that.
Heading
Messi - 7.5/10
Neymar - 5.5/10
Neymar doesn't head the ball much at all, but one interesting fact to know about Messi is that out of all his La Liga goals so far, 5% have been headers. For a man of 5'7" to score 5% of his goals from headers (and note down that Messi scores a LOT of goals), it is very very admirable.
Set Pieces
Messi - 8.5/10
Neymar - 7/10
Neymar has scored a few FK's before, but Messi is much better at them. Messi also seems to miss penalties quite so often, therefore bringing down my original rating of "9" for him to a "8.5".
Work Ethic
Messi - 8/10
Neymar - 9.5/10
What is admirable about Neymar is that despite being talented from the very beginning, talent alone did not bring him so far. An immense amount of hard work was put in by him to come to a club like Barcelona for such a demanding fee. Messi does work quite hard, but not anywhere as hard as Neymar.
Attitude
Messi - 9.5/10
Neymar - 7.5/10
Messi has an extremely positive attitude on the pitch. He hasn't gotten sent off in many years, and doesn't whine and cry when he gets fouled. Neymar, as we all know, has a knack for the theatrics, but hopefully will cut that out soon. Slight improvement in behavior made me judge him as a 7.5, something people might disagree on.
