Some players are much better when they pull on the shirt of their national team like for example Klose,Podolski, Forlan, Guardado etc.. and think of this, Colombia have 4 striker this WC and 3 of them have a combined market value (acording to transfermarkt) of 51 M Euro, have scored many goals in the very best legues in europe this season(like La Liga and Bundesliga), have taken their teams to european trophies, have made a difference in their teams making the team end higher up the table than they would have. But still Colombia plays with a striker from the argentian league who is valued very poorly, ignoring Bacca, Jackson Martinez and Adrian Ramos

Valbuena is another ewample, he hasnt the best market value neither playing in the best team, he was average this season with Marseille but in the national team, he is just someone else.
