This was motherf**king awesome. Absolute garbage defending though. Lol, the defenders let him pass by like he's their teammate.

That finished by a goal if you dont remember....
So you are trying to tell us that Messi cant score more than 20 goals in serie A ?

First your numbers does not mean anything, picking numbers and taking down games that does not suits you.
Messi last Italian game scored 2 goals, and everytime Barça faced an Italian side, it was the best Italian side of the moment and in the final stage of CL so 5 goals in 9 games in that level of competition against Italian Elite is not a failure.

Secondly, you all Serie A lovers have the same illness, ask Wolfie, you could not admit the sad reality of your league wich is not the best anymore, neither the most dificult.
Italian Elite teams results has been ridiculous im not even gonna ask for bottom teams.
I will tell you something anyone agree in this forum :
ITS MORE DIFICULT TO SCORE IN EPL THAN IN SERIE A, ITS A FACT. Try to find anyone who agree with you if you can.
Look at Tevez stats at his prime, dont think the actual Tevez is worth Man United Tevez or Man City Tevez at his prime and still scoring 11 goals easily.
I advice you to keep your dignity and not humiliate yourself by saying stupid things.
If you think that Messi will score less than Cavani or Ibra in Serie A, then you dont know anything about Football.

Serie A is actually a place to retire, and a second chance for players that failed to find a titular place in la Liga and EPL top teams.

  • Balotelli, Tevez, Kaka, Ronaldinho,Robinho,Bojan,Rami, Gervinho,De Jong, Ciani, Albiol,Valero,
Callejon,Joaquin,Llorente, Pepe Reina, Martin Caceres and the list is long.
    Now This is REALITY.

tiki_taka you didn't read what i wrote...

i said that in the last 2 games Messi was able to score to ACM 3 times(1 penalty), but just because we got a serie b-level defence. BEFORE that, Messi was able to score 3 times in 9 matches against italian teams. those 3 timeas were again against ACM, but all 3 on penalty. and no, he didn't face always the best teams, he played vs Udinese too, and guess what? ...

your facts are wrong, you might recheck it. i am actually aware of the conditions of the Serie A, but it's far from what your hateful childish comment claims. we'll see in the future. meanwhile i stand by my statement:
Messi would have more difficulties scoring in Serie A. no way he'd do 30. go ask Mourinho what's the most difficult league. or ask Benitez, he just said that some days ago.

anyway i am not discussing further with you. i don't need to get into league VS league debate.

and, pro tip: avoid doing always the big face because football it's all up and downs, today it's me, tomorrow it's you. understand kid? so if you want to talk about football, talk about football. less glamorous sensationalistic wanna-grab-internet-consensus bullsh*t...

@Lodatz: mate i wonder how can you do it everyday at your age lol. i'm too old for this sh*t ;D

edit:
oh and yes, i think that Messi would score less than Ibra or Cavani in Serie A.
i could care less that you think i am stupid, or OMG i am humiliating myself because i come out with unpopular claims on a forum. lol, dude...

He played against Udinese in 2005 are you retarded ? I am talking about 2013 Messi if you dont understand...
Serie A has the less talented players of the 3 leagues and still the most dificult, rest in peace logic.
What i said is not hateful its just reality, and you dont want to admit it, fine. I am old enough to remember Italian glorious years and we are far far FAR from that years...
Even Luca Toni scored +30 goals at his prime, and Luca Toni at his prime is not comparable to Messi.
You have 0 arguments im not expecting you to get any debate, i told you i didnt want to respond you at the start.
Now, Try to find one person in this forum that share your point of view of Calcio being the most dificult League...
Wake up buddy you are losing credibility.
Im not a hater, i dont like seing Italian teams at this shameful level, i want to see them competing for Europeen Trophees. But i cant stand butthurt Italian fans touched in their huge Ego and dreaming about an Era that is being part of the past. Understand Kid ?
EPL is the most dificult League, and still Messi/Ronaldo would score on a regular basis against weaker sides and home games, they may not score 50 goals, but for Messi there is no way he would go under 35 goals.
I personally rank serie A as the fourth dificult league, and the Cl results are proving it, im talking numbers :)

look,

1) you don't call me kid, Pelè is the only player i didn't watch playing live, the others i've seen them all, i watched Maradona play.

2) i am not delusional, as i said, i know that Serie A is not the best league anymore, you're beating a dead horse.
"best" and "difficult" are 2 different things.

3) I know stats don't suit me, in fact i am not the one going by stats here, i just reported what Messi was able to collect in all his matches vs italian teams. it's you the one who goes purely by stats, meaning that you absolutely consider Messi performance (so implies numbers etc) to be above and almost unaffected by any league Messi would play into, the major ones at least.

the fact that you say that even Luca Toni scored 30 goals in Serie A proves that you know very little about football, i was so waiting for you to bring that up. miserable attempt, who knows about football knows why. depressing.

also, season 97/98:

Ronaldo o Fenomeno: 25 goals
Oliver Bierhoff: 27 goals.

guess what? i'm outta here...

You may be old by your age, does not mean you cant have a stupid argumentation. You\'d better stop argumenting here.
Typical V comment to conclude.

Ronaldo scored 30 goals in the epl because hes physical, its not just about how good you are. Messi could bag around 25 goals but not much more due to being a small wimp that would get carried of the Britannia Stadium in an instant. And Dynastian why the hell do you praise a player from your so called "rivals" team. That isnt being much of a fan is it.

You guys are absolutely clueless it's infuriating. And I thought it was obvious Messi was heads and shoulders above other footballers. Seems like there are still people who don't quite get it.

What would you respond to that :) ? Speechless...
When you see Shpalman greating El Sharaoui that much, you understand that he is just biaised.

@Dephased we are talking about Football not Basket ball. Most of the best scorer of history were all short. You guys are out of ideas and every fanboy protect his beloved league as if it was the only league in the world.

The league is made by players who play in it, if we take Cl for example as a small league, it would be the most dificult league with all the good teams playing there... And guess who are the best scorers there too...

It's called "respect", and I don't think you know what it is. Messi is a god-send on this world, and I'm glad I live to see him play live.

All those videos shown by @Dynastian98 and @tiki_taka is prime example of how to defend poorly . Also goal against Madrid was after Pepe got red before that Messi was no where seen . Why don\'t we put a video how Chelsea , Bayern and Inter shut down Messi\'s involvement . They limited him to ordinary average player . Look at the gaps and terrible positioning of defenders , timing of the tackle from Madrid , Arsenal and other teams . I am not an expert but even to me defending looks just awful .

Do not want to be biased but Madrids back 4 is very overrated and never impressed me . That is why Mourinho never was successful at parking bus with Madrid. Marcelo is great probably best attacking left back in the world but defensive work is average . Ramos is right back and his impatience in central defense have costed Madrid many goals over the years . Pepe is just bully defender with in my opinion good tackle timing and good sense of positioning but certainly not one of the best in the world. On the right flank , I am not even going to mention his name or qualities they speak for themselves .

Only Varane I truly think of as quality future great central defender . I just love this defender. Varane single - handedly took care of Messi . He was working his ass off against Dortmund . That is EPL or Seria A style of defending . That is real classic central defender who will certainly become World Class if not best one day. If Madrid ever let him go that will be another addition to the list of the most stupidest things that Madrid has done since year 2000 .

Thankfully your idol is playing in the same league, ask him to pass 4 defenders and score if its that easy :p
Ronaldo would have fallen to get a freekick, im sure you agree :) we know both how the 2 players behave.
