Why would West Ham want to buy Carrol AND Downing? :/

As Lodatz said in another thread, Levy is probably trolling. 17.5 m for both Eriksen and Alderweireld? What the hell Tottenham? lol

LOL Chelsea are brilliant in asking a ridiculous price for Luiz. Barca's gonna back out now and look at other options. :)

^ That's because they have never wanted to sell him in the first place, not to Barca for sure ;) That's another benefit for being a rich club.

-Why do Spurs always want players we want :'(
-Says he want to leave england because of the media, is probably going to arsenal - Luis Suarez. i dont even want him to play for the club. as brendan rodgers said "No player is bigger than the club." as long as we replace him with quality players, then we're good
-daniel agger wont e leaving, he said as long as liverpool want him, he'll be playing for us + he was appointed our new vice captain
-eto'o to la galaxy would be interesting
-im getting scared of tottenham now D:
-thank you to west ham for buying our rejected players - joe cole, andy carroll and hopefully downing. although i will admit he has improved, but he's still not worth as much as we payed for him

@nanda: because you guys keep going for the players that our scouts find? ;)

Seriously, though: we've been linked with the Ajax pair for over a year.

@Lodatz I think Spurs will do much better this season with all these great signings even if Bale left the club.

My objective is to be happy and this is possible by playing in a team that controls the ball. Barcelona is the team that plays the best football in the last few years.

I know Barca are interested in my services, but I do not have any news.
-David Luiz

Well yeah.. thanks Luiz for that nice statement!

^ After rejecting a bid worth a potential €25 million, the Blues have placed a valuation of €50m on the versatile defender.

"If they need a central defender my advice is that they have to go to the second name they have in the list because they are wasting their time," said Mourinho after the offer became public.

....and the reality of the super-rich clubs buying the talent that Barcelona want, sets in. First Thiago Silva, now David Luiz.

I knew this was going to be a problem for them. For the smaller teams in La Liga, all Barca need to do is flex their financial muscle, and wave their Messi flag, to get who they want.

Now, as they're finding against PSG and Chelsea, who don't need the money, and have ambitions of their own... the Barcelona brand is not as all-conquering.

Maybe they just need to scour La Masia for some more defenders..?

^^ Well they've stupidly let go of Muniesa, one of their more promising talents. Why they let him go for FREE to STOKE of all teams I will never understand. But they are in dire need of an experienced and promising defender at the same time, so Inigo Martinez is a great option they have (especially since they prefer to sign Spanish-speaking players).

Rumor says Barcelona might wait till the January transfer window to buy a CB.. I hope not though.

^ Bad idea. They need to address their defensive problems ASAP. Luiz and Silva are bad choices because they both play for teams overflowing with money.

I keep saying this over and over again, they need Hummels. He's young, experienced, and talented. Is very fast, has great vision (better than Pique's), and is a giant as well. He also has immense heading ability, something Pique LACKS despite being 6'4". Hummels is a perfect fit for Barca. If only Zubizarreta noticed already.

17 actually sounds excessive to me. 10-14 M euros should be enough for Gustavo.

Doesnt work that way. Bayern are not desperate for cash. Napoli or someone else might swoop in and get him for 16-17M euros. The value of the player is determined by factors other than just his talent.

It seems like we are going to sign Eto'o for 5 millions. I think he will be a good addition to our squad.

Has anyone seen Eto'o in the last 2 years? I feel he might have problems adjusting to the pace of the PL at his age. Would still be better than Torres though.
