How about the worst 11?
I'll start you off with the some that stuck out in my minds:
GK: Kostas Chalkias (Greece)
LB: Jetro Willems (Holland)
CB: Stephen Ward (Ro Ireland)
CB: John Heitenga (Holland)
RB:?
Midfield: Gleen Whelann (Ro Ireland)
Midfield: Ashely Young (England)
Midfeild:Arian Robben (Holland)
Midfield/"Forward": Wayne Rooney (England)
CF: Giorgios Samaras (Greece), Aleksandr Kerzhakov (Russia)
@Footaholic
Samaras was not so bad to be in that list!
Kerzakhov had the most shots of target in EURO 2012
@TheDon: Don't let that goal in the final match against Germany cloud your judgement. I watched all the the Greek matches and he was absolutely dire. Everything he did was terrible: positioning, runs into channels (or lack thereof), lay-offs, shooting accuracy... it was the complete package of a shit forward.
As for Kerzhakov, I felt bad putting him in the list because I think his overall play was quite good. He made a lot of chances and was full of energy, but I cannot help but think if he converted a few of his myriad chances Russia could've made it to the quarters. That is my reasoning.
My BEST 22 (I had a hard time choosing b/w some):
GK: Buffon/Malafeev
RB: Lahm/Debuchy
CB: Alvez, Ramos, Pepe, Terry
LB: Alba/Coentrao
MF: Khedira, Iniesta, Pirlo, Modric, Gerrard, Moutinho, Cabaye
Forwards: Salpingidis, Reus, Krohn Dehli, Fabregas, Ronaldo
