I would like to point out not a first incident . Also not a first incident where FIFA chooses not to use video replay technology . When Zidane headbutted Matterrazi they replayed it and gave him red even if it took 10 min to do so , but this time time they let it go so the game won't slow down )) FIFA double standards .

@jvh1312 "I've collided with his shoulder" Uh, no. You sunk your teeth into his shoulder like a rabid wild animal. I seriously can't believe he did it again..

It's such a shame, too. I was just starting to respect him for his apparent turn-around, and... meh.

I don't even care, by this point. If this behaviour doesn't result in bans, or earns him a multi-million move to Spain, then it will just be a sign that there is something just fundamentally wrong with football, in 2014. Nothing new, there, sadly. We've all seen it for years.

But hey. There's nothing that we can do about it, so...

@Lodatz"earns him a multi-million move to Spain"

What do you mean?

@Gus: Oh, there's been about a hundred articles in the media, linking him to Barcelona for 70m, plus some suggesting a swap with Sanchez and about 50m.

It may not be true, but the sources are getting increasingly more reliable.

Yes I'm aware of the transfer rumors, but are you saying that if Liverpool don't sell him then there is something wrong with football?

@Gustavo:

Er, no, I was saying that if he gets a huge-money transfer (complete with sign-on bonuses, bloated wages and insta-fame) to a Spanish giant as a result of this notoriety, then there is something broken with football. Players like Suarez do not deserve to be given that kind of platform, but that is the modern game now; results over honour.

Towards Liverpool I mean no insult. Getting, say, Sanchez and 50m would be fair compensation for the mess Suarez has left them in, for the second season in a row. This is not their fault, though, perhaps they might have taken a firmer hand with Suarez, themselves. ;)

Liverpool are considering legal action against FIFA . Liverpool have been angered about how the tough punishment impacts on them with their striker prohibited from "any football-related activity" until the end of October , according to BBC Sports.

@Lodatz

I understand now and agree.

Not that I want to keep Suarez, but if Spanish giants are still willing to have someone with issues like Suarez, then why should't we?

Depends on what you want the world to associate with your club's shirt, I guess. Mileage is going to vary on that, but I would not touch him, even with the talent which saw him win (rightly so) the PL Player of the Year award.

I can speak only for myself, there, but I'd be getting rid of him, if I were Liverpool. I just find it a shame that, basically, Suarez is going to get what he wants anyway, if you do so.

I value honor more than results, I don't really want him, but football is something I find hard to take seriously so I don't really have strong feelings about this.

But Suarez is going to get what he wants anyway no matter what. The worse Liverpool can do is release him, but then there will be a ton of big clubs lined up to sign him, even Tottenham, for as much as he wants and the image of the club that signs him won't change, at all. I won't be surprised if in the media the club that signs him get called bold and courageous, and endlessly get lauded for it.

Just a curiosity question: I thought Suarez was banned from all football related activity for 4 months...that’s till end of October I believe. So this means that he can not be transferred to another team before January window or can he? Or did I misread his ban?

^ I would assume it doesn't stop him being transferred, it just means whoever he joins would not be able to play him until October.

I was under the assumption that transfer is football related activity...I think the other thread said this too...but now I keep seeing all these rumours or the press having a field day predicting where Suarez will land, so I was curious, as to if it was an August transfer or the January window...
