Race hots up for Tottenham winger.

The battle to sign Tottenham star Gareth Bale has heated up after three of the Premier League’s biggest clubs revealed they are willing to spend big to secure his signature according to The Mirror.

Bale has had his most impressive season to date, recognised by winning both the PFA Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year Awards. Tottenham are desperate to hold on to the Welsh winger but know they face a battle as Europe’s biggest sides look to tempt him away from White Hart Lane.

Bale has been strongly linked with Real Madrid in recent months with the club’s technical director Zinedine Zidane making no secret of his admiration for Bale.

The Spanish giants are thought to be favourites to sign Bale by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has so far turned down their advances.

Levy is known to be a tough negotiator and it had been thought that a move for Bale to one of Tottenham’s Premier League rivals would be unlikely as Levy would almost certainly demand an additional fee.

But it now appears that Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all willing to pay out a whopping £80 million to secure Bale’s signature.

Tottenham will continue their attempts to persuade Bale to stay one more year and have offered him a new deal thought to be in the region of £170,000 a week !

I don't think he will leave this season. Even if he does, there is no way in hell Levy sells him to an English club. He forfeited a higher fee from Chelsea for Modric.

Depends on whether he can reach Ronaldos level which is debatable.

I agree with you lodatz. I actually found an article, pretty weird but they say ronaldo is worth like 100 million or something.
