This is disgusting. 100% red card. The game is called football, not wrestling.

That deserves an 8 game ban AND a huge fine. Now.

A shout-out to our lovely friend @Lodatz who seems to believe that La Liga is a dirtier league than the EPL. Not as long as Stoke play in the first division.

@Ramaboy, he's British so nothing will happen to him. If he was a foreign it would be all over the news and papers...FA isn't bias or racist.

EPL is a harsh league... People complain about Atletico de Madrid playing rough but that is nothing compared to Stoke City.

How hard is it for the FA to ban dirty moves a little more often? seriously...

I find this so disgusting, it's unbelievable. Even the Stoke fans were shocked in photos I've seen, and that's absolutely saying something. The video shows it well, he was choking Alexis for like 5 seconds, not 0,1sec. Just don't want to say too much, I'm too mad for seeing this (basically) unpunished. This **** don't belong in football.

You kind of get used to it though. No big surprise and the FA won't do much either. "That's Football"

Thats a yellow or what we call orange, not the last defender, everyone agrees its a tactical foul, he blocked the player.
If this was red, Messi would send 3 players out of the pitch per game.

What the f*** is wrong with you? How that's not a red card? You can simply grab someone neck and hold him like you want to kill him?

EDIT: If someone did that to Messi would you say the same? Nah, because he, opponent would be banned for whole year, because it was on Messi and not on some Alexis.

More like Charlie Adam being Charlie Adam. How long would he have held his neck had Sanchez not retaliated?

Its Harsh yes, but the rules gives this situation a yellow, its like taking the ball with your hands or grabbing the shirt ( as much as you can).
He delibirately stopped him, intentional blockage is yellow, a staright red is for a dangerous tackle or a delibirate kick.

Messi is grabbed all the times, Ronaldo phenomeno was worst in Italy, as long as you have a pacey dribler, he will be grabbed like this by defenders, not that way of course.

For the ref, i saw the second half, Bojan got refused a valid goal and Flamini dived, so yes its maybe very harsh from this stoke player who doesnt have the body of a Footballer, but refreing wasnt a big deal.

^The basc player got a yellow.

None of those actions took a red, some he went injured in it.

Players like Adams have the instructions to block Sanchez, actually the ref saw only the action from the back...

Actually i really love Alexis, the grab was very special but i think ref counted it as normal grab, this would have deserved the 10-15 minutes out that Fergie is implementing, but straight red would be also a little harsh on what happened previously on the game. The guy just gave a PK and took a Valid goal from Stokes, if he showed a straight red and Arsenal took points, everybody would shout on him.

Actually he's holding Alexis so he wont fall on his back and break a bone. Good guy Charlie Adams...Respects!!

No I still think he deserved red , but referee decided to let it go with yellow to make it up for PK and disallowed goal from Stoke.
