Stevan Jovetic has already agreed to join Arsenal, says Fifa agent

Italian football agent Guido Di Domenico has revealed that Stevan Jovetic is set to join Arsenal in the summer and has already agreed terms on a move.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made Fiorentina ace Jovetic his top transfer target for next season, with the club keen to recruit a big name forward to help lead the line.

And according to respected Fifa agent, Di Domenico, the Gunners have already agreed terms to bring the 23-year-old to north London, after he snubbed interest from Juventus.

If so Arsenal have gotten themselves a good player. My question is will he play ST or CAM? Also City seem to be on the look out.

I hope this is not true. He's a good player but he is not the type of striker we need IMO. I think a small, slippery, dribbler would be more suited to our needs (ala Suarez) and someone who is far more prolific. I'd rather we saved the money for a World Class CF if possible.

I actually think Jovetic would do well at Arsenal. Jovetic is indeed a very tricky dribbler from what I've seen, and he may not be RVP in front of goal, but you have to admit, he's better than Giroud, and 4 years younger too. So I think you guys have a pretty good deal there, since clubs have been looking to buy him for years.

So which position will City put him in?

@footaholic arsenal needs more quality striker than giroud and bendtner. Jovetic is young and prolific enough. It would be the blessing for gunners if he comes to emirates. 

I kinda agree with Footaholic I wish to spend our money on someone like Falcao, Arsenal have to invest some money!

Falcao would never come to arsenal. I think it would already be a miracle if we could have jovetic. Wait and see. He is going to be a great player imo.

I've always wanted Jovetic to come to Arsenal. He could be what Carlos Vela could've been.

I disagree fellas. His scoring and conversion rates are not very impressive. To give you some perspective, Girous had better all around stats when we bought him. Jovetic's overall game is good and he is well rounded player that would help but he would not be my ideal buy.

^Agreed. In fact, I am always very very wary of stats as they can be made to make anyone look like any way you want when manipulated correctly. However, my point is people say he's the 20 goal striker we need when, in fact, he is not. I think most of the people clamouring for him probably never even watched him play more than 2 games and just want something/anything to help dig Arsenal out of their rut.

anyway, just heard that the agent retracted his statement and now says that they are just "very interested".

I think he should stay in Florence or wait for a better offer. Going to Arsenal is neither a step up or step down.
