Wow, that was disrispectful, but kind of awesome at the same time. One of the coolest mosaics Ive ever seen.
I had no idea the hate was so intense towards Spain or the king.

@Tuanis Not toward Spain, but the king. North of Spain doesn look to the midle and the south, North of Spain looks more to the South of France, the nature, the culture and traditions, some nations are even divided by those countries, the Basque country and Cataluna...
Thats some opinions about the independance, some about the debt and taxes, some about the culture and some about what they suffered in the past for the oldest.
Question, are the majority of Catalonians/Basques looking for a independent country? Or is this just a small population which makes sure to attend events and make riots?
Why do they hate the current king? Is Catalonia richer on its own?
Also, their independence days is September 11 =P
I think they always boo Spain's national anthem as far as I know.
But that was one hell of a mosaic, well done.
If they start to boo the country that they are in, then they dont even deserve to have autonomy.
I don't know much about Spanish unity, but I remember being told that the reason Spain's national team was awful for so long was because certain players that got called up wouldn't go because they had no interest in playing for Spain as a nation.
^ Agreed, it was told that without Xavi-Casillas who unified Barça/Madrid spanish players for mutual objectives. Spain would not been able to win what they won lately as a nation.
The catalan national team isnt allowed to play in official competitions, but they showed their strenght in friendlies, with a mix between Espagnol and Barça players + catalans playing abroad...
Last friendly they got was against the Basque country in December 28th, 2014.
This year's Copa del Rey final, the first presided over by King Felipe VI, started off with the usual boos and whistles once the national anthem started up over the tannoy.
It was the same story we have seen on various previous occasions. Both the Catalan fans supporting Barcelona and the Basque fans that had come to cheer on their Athletic showed their aversion to Spain's national anthem with a deafening bout of booing that practically made the music unheard.
Miguel Cardenal, the president of Spain's Superior Sports Council, had a few days before warned of the possible consequences of any booing at the event (fines for both the fans caught and for the clubs, seen as partly responsible for the fans' behaviour), but to no avail.
Catalans and Basques have only this in common lol.
