Wow, great squad, but I expect Juanfran, Moreno, Iturraspe, Thiago, Mata, Torres and Llorente to be axed out. Sad that Isco isn't there though.

@mladen: I mean that only 23 of the 30 players from the picture above, are allowed to go to Brazil, meaning that 7 have to be crossed off from the list. I wouldn't take the 7 players I mentioned with me, if I was Del Bosque. I still love Mata, but I think that his season wasn't as good as his competitors' seasons and he's never really been a regular in Spains line up, unfortunately. For Moreno, I think that Azpilicueta is better, although I admit that I have only watched like 5 Sevilla games this season. Also, Del Bosque prefers Jordi Alba. And concerning Llorente, Negredo and Diego Costa have been outstanding, that's why I think he doesn't have a chance to get onto the plane.

@JuanMata If Del Bosque axes Itturaspe he is not winning the tournament I'm guaranteeing you that. Brazil ran through their midfield like nothing and they need several really good holding midfielders and they have that in Itturaspe, Martinez and Xabi Alonso. If Llorente is axed i will be really disappointed as of all the spain strikers imo Llorente deserves it the most along with Costa.

@dephased, Spain will play with Busquets, and Javi Martinez is enough cover for him. I don't expect del bosque to change the midfield of Busquets - Xavi - Xabi - Iniesta that won them 2 euros, and 1 world cup.

It seems like Spain doesn't get tired of producing world class players. The next generation is ultra talented as well, and they'll be ready to take over the Xavis and Xabis next tournament.

I hope David Villa makes the final roster. His game never depended on speed or strength, so his age is not an issue. With the style spain loves to play and that service from all those mids, he'll be very deadly in the world cup

The only notable exception seems to be Isco, who has had an up-and-down season with Madrid due to lack of minutes during the middle of the season. I'd personally take Isco over Mata because Mata doesn't gel well with this Spain squad, and Isco is one for the future. Regardless, Mata will probably be cut from the squad anyways, and Isco probably would've too.

@Eden No it is Itturaspe. @KingHenry Busquets isnt a holding midfielder he is a wimpy deep lying playmaker. They need a real man who can stop the Brazil attackers not just dictate play.

Koke absolutely needs to stay. Him and Javi Martinez are a couple of rocks in the midfield.

Where is Inigo Martinez from Sociedad hes a young CB who should be on that list.
