Just thinking to myself what would have happened if Southampton had managed to keep all of their players that they sold like, lovren or lallana or lambert.

Would they be flying as high as they were at the start of the season or would they be in the middle of the table like my team struggling for form?

Middle of the table. You could see how most of them (guys who left) have struggled the whole season, every signing they made in the summer & january are basically better than the guys who left. Just a few examples

Pelle > Lambert
Tadic = Lallana
Alderweireld > Lovren
Bertrand = Shaw
Clyne (was there last season too, but now bigger role) ≥ Chambers
Forster > Boruc

They got a few squad players like Elia & Djuricic (both on loan) too.

The best thing they did was loaning out Jos Hooiveld, the guy must've been the worst defender in whole BPL : D

Southhampton is like the suprise of the EPL, I really enjoy watching them, but I agree and disagree, true that the players may not be better with the current ones, but they should need backup players with the similar quality in case of injuries or anything else. so ill say like competing for the europa league position.

They only lost 3 quality players which they substituted with just as good and even better . Those players though would have given them more depth in he team and they could have actually do more damage to EPL top 4 .
