@TheGame: Comparing a AM's amount of assists to a defenders amount of assists? That's mad.

@awais: It is shocking but Terry does have 68 more appearances than Ineista.

Iniesta isn't much of a goal scorer. He's more of a passer. He's not even really an assist man. His passes are the heart of the play. He doesnt pss directly to the attacker all the time. He probes around looking for a way to instigate a chance. Iniesta's stats doesn't justify what he does on the pitch. That's why I always say you shouldn't just merely talk about stats. It's a  naive way of approaching football.  And if you were to choose between Iniesta and Terry for an attacker, I think everybody would choose Iniesta over terry even if he's got more goals.

For me about Iniesta that goal scoring or assist making isn't everything but to help your team by creative passes and good team game make you star like him so Iniesta is one of the best Creative player i have ever seen that is why i post it.
I was not Comparing him with JT because JT is Best Defender and Iniesta is Best Midfielder

@awais

John Terry best defender? I doubt it.

Iniesta best midfielder? In the world right now, hell yeah.

@Vendetta, so comparing their goal stats is not mad? You can't say a midfielder should be getting more goals than a defender in the modern game. That's naive thinking. My point is this type of comparison is worthless as any objective fan would prefer to have Iniesta over JT, who probably got 99% of those goals from corner kicks.

@dynastian that's my assumption that terry is bst defender and iniesta is best midfielder and maybe you have different thinking

I would prefer to have scored only 1 goal in my career if that was a game winner  in a world cup final  than scoring 10 headers per season..

@TheGame: What the hell are you on about? A midfielder should definitely get more goals than defender. That's why I said it's shocking.

And by the way, I believe goals from set pieces are more difficult at some points.

That's why I said it's shocking *even though Terry does have 68 more appearances.

@DonAndres

Well said! Iniesta scored the WC winning goal against the Netherlands in extra time, and he scored a last minute screamer (more like heartbreaker) against Chelsea in 2009. John Terry's goals simply just haven't had the same impact as Iniesta's.

A clear example is Zinedine Zidane. Zidane only scored 159 goals in his career, but one of them was a winner in the CL final, and a LOT of them were in World Cups and EUROs, including 3 in the WC final. It was Zidane's TIMING that made his goals priceless.

@Vendetta, OK now you proved you have no idea what you're talking about. Midfielders operate on a whole different scale than defenders. Their objectives are different. For example, Michael Carrick got 2 goals this season so far, to JT's 6. Even Evra and Evans chipped in 4. Does that stat shock you as well? It shouldn't. Michael Carrick's game is not based around goals, just like Iniesta's is not. Frankly, if you believe that midfielders should be getting more goals just by the virtue of the fact that they play higher up the field shows your lack of knowledge in football. And BTW, that movie sucked.

You do understand Iniesta is more of an attacking midfielder and Carrick is more of a holding/box to box midfielder, right? Like I said, in the Schrulle thread, arguing with you is a waste of time and useless. Have a good day, TheGame.

lol. Another crybaby Chelsea fanboy who just hates to be wrong. I am not surprised, you're only 16. Come back when you watch more football.

@TheGame

I shouldn't butt in into this conversation, but STOP ARGUING. You're TRYING to get Vendetta mad by calling him names. YOU should be the one growing up. From what I've seen, Vendetta is NOT a fanboy, and he already said he doesn't wish to argue with you, so what are you trying to prove by instigating a response from him with comments like that?

@Dynastian98, you do realize that I did not start this right? In another post in which he again started the argument, he accused me of "not knowing sh*t about football". Obviously you yourself seem to have only read the last thing I posted and did not take into account that he called me a "retard". So, if you're not willing to take an objective viewpoint, take your own advice and butt out.
