Incredible, Sevilla did it again, its the third time in a row that they win the competition. I have to say that while I would have loved to see Liverpool in the CL next year, I'm verry happy for Sevilla incredible accomplishment. Congrats! Please, share your thought on the result. :D

Liverpool had enough chances to score 6 goals. But in the end, well done Sevilla. Waiting for them to come 3rd in their group in the UCL and win the Europa League again

Can we start a petition to remove this title from Sevilla's history, too?

devastated. we should have killed the game in the first half. props to sevilla for changing their attitude and intensity when they came out at half time. but who knows, maybe it is better we do not have european football to interrupt us next season. could be a blessing in disguise.

CL is very important to attract the players Klopp would want to sign, I dont think its a blessing Liverpool can handle playing in different tables if they want to.

Not only the last 3, but 5 in the last 10 years. Props to them!

Gutted for all the Liverpool fans as CL qualification would've guaranteed you guys hitting the heights next season. The Kop will bounce back in no time.

Liverpool should've killed it in the first half. I know the penalty decision didn't go their way, but they still had a number of chances to make it 3-0. Sevilla deserve all the credit for coming back in style, though. The deserved team won in the end.

Well those 45 minutes was the worst of my life. I have a class on filming and I was editing. I was done and felt happy. I already knew the movie was going to suck, bad actors and filming but they didn't listen to me. So my teacher played my movie and I felt shame already because I forgot to put a title and then at the middle of the movie I forgot to zoom it out for almost the half of the movie. I had to turn around because I couldn't stand it. Then Sevilla scored three goals.

Bad luck for Klopp . If Liverpool played same way they played against Dortmund they would have gone through . Team needs character , so far it was Klopp making some average players perform above average motivating them . Liverpool players have let him down .

@lio Yes, the first 3 were against Bayern.

@Marcus Well, in the game vs Dortmund they were down before half time, and needed to come back. While in the final, Liverpool was winning and they conceded right after half time, that may have caused the players didn't knew what to play. Looks like they didn't counted with something like Sevilla to come back ..

What is the point ? Not like UEFA will go back and change the score . No one gets punished, so I honestly tired of complaining about referees . Liverpool should have done better even if the referees was not fair with decisions .

Well, when you're winning the speech in the half time at the changing room is much more different. When they were loosing against BVB they needed motivation and hope to get back into match. Now, they were winning, no one of us know the tactics which they got but the goal right after half time just ruined everything they built in first half. They were simply stunned, practically without any plan B..

Ansolutely, spot on agree on most of what people said. Mental And psychology is important in every sport. Liverpool didnt recover from the equaliser. The game was lost mentally before the second goal. Ref décisions aside, they should have killed the game in first half when they had the chance, the second half would have been much easier... At 1-1 Sevilla were more confident And started to win every duel, but things were not over.
That being said, progression of the reds was noticable this game aside, they can only progress as a team mentally And tactically under Klopp...
If Klopp gets the players he wants this transfer market, And keep his team growing they could become a domestic force to Reckon, And maybe in the midle term in Europe. Klopp is the man of the situation, the way he handle Benteke case And Origi is brilliant. Sturridge each Time a player was going to be subbed thought it was him as if he didnt wanted to fight at the end. Brilliant goal but he ruined Lovren goal by wanting to put it himself And surely relaxed after scoring.
I would love to know why Benteke only play in the last minutes something is between him And the coach.

@tiki

well if the 2013/14 season is anything to go by, no european football will allow us to focus on the premier league. well only have one game per week (with the exception of domestic competitions) so we have a WHOLE week to prepare for pl games. we can build some squad chemistry this way. hopefully klopp doesnt bring in too many players, because thats what has happened the last 3 seasons. i think next year well be able to compete for top four.
