Sergio Aguero Is Trying To Leave FC Barcelona Following Messi Exit

New FC Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero has been reported as wanting to leave the club following close friend Lionel Messi's exit.

Joining from Manchester City this summer, the Argentine has ordered his lawyers to look at whether it is possible to cancel his recently-signed two-year contract over the next few days, according to Catalan outfit Beteve, in a move that will further plummet the Catalans into crisis if pulled off.

As recent as May 31 when he was signed and presented by the Blaugrana, the 33-year-old described Barca as “the best club in the world”.

“So I think I made a good decision," he added.

“I hope I can help the team. Of course, coming here is a step forward for my career.

“I am very happy. I hope that I will help the team to win trophies. The most important thing is that I want to play, to help this team. If the team succeeds, I will be happy.

“I will try to do everything so that by the end of next season we will come up with trophies. I will give my all,” he vowed.

“I hope the fans will enjoy watching me play. I am ready to change my style of play for Barca. I hope I will help the team with my experience,” concluded ‘Kun’.

With Messi close to joining PSG, however, after negotiations over a fresh five-year contract at the Camp Nou broke down, it seems Aguero has had a change of heart and is already looking to follow his compatriot out of the exit door.

Taking a considerable pay cut to just $5.9mn a year to join the cause, Aguero may never fulfill his wish to play alongside Messi at club level following a two-decade journey together in the Argentina national team from the youth categories to the seniors.

The pair won their first major trophy together for La Albiceleste in Brazil last month at the Copa America, and looked to finally link up in La Liga until the Spanish top flight’s strict salary cap meant Messi had to walk away from Barca on Thursday evening.

They probably won't be able to register him for league anyways, would be fun to see him going elsewhere

@quikzyyy Eh, sure, why not. Hope he find himself a good team if it doesn't work for Barcelona.
