I'm sorry but I don't get it.
Next 100m Madrid Signing!
@V: What is he pointing to?
What is he pointing to?
I see now. But that just seems pointless really (pun intended).
Er, why?
This post is more for Spurs fans actually.. So its actually nothing for us to see..
Oh I get it, haha. Nice one!
He's just celebrating. Isn't he?
@Lodatz: Well my guess is Van Der Vart unintentionally points at it making him a Spurs hero. Then Bale doesn't and the picture is in all grey making him an outcast. Then Eriksen, the new kid in town does what VDV did. Its nice but I still find it a weird. I could pretty much find one of Lampard pointing up as that is his common celebration and then in perception, it looks like he is pointing at a Chelsea banner saying 'Blue is the color'.
If the game is about glory, isn't Bale doing the right thing in chasing more glory at Madrid?
@Dynastian98, glory...or gold?
@TheGame
Glory.
@Dynastian98, well hope he finds it ;) BTW, when are you changing your picture? Am I right in assuming you haven't reached acceptance in the DABDA model, with the Ozil departure?
I just changed it to Ferenc Puskas. By the way, what does DABDA stand for?
@Dynastian98, I had to clear my browser's cookies to see it! DABDA=Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance. Pretty much what every United fan went through after CR7's departure.
Also known as 'The Five Stages of Grief'. Like what all Chelsea fans felt when RDM got sacked.
@Vendetta: it's a cult thing, at Spurs. Of course the VdV picture was accidental. That doesn't stop it being a perfect illustration of what our club is about. And Eriksen's was also accidental, though, he DID choose to, himself, put it on his Twitter feed, once he saw it, as a message to Spurs fans.
So, yeah, He gets it. And that's beautiful. :)
@Dynast: There is not much glory to be found in moving to a superstar team, for tons of money. There is far more glory to be found in staying where your roots are, with the team who made you, and taking them to the top. That's glorious. Moving to Madrid was just the sign of being a mercenary.
Bale's loss. He could have been a legend, like Henry. Instead, he'll just be a temporary Galactico, like Owen and Beckham.
But, having now seen the speculation, no... the black and white nature of Bale's picture is not meant to make him seem like an outcast. ;)
It was included to say: Van der Vaart, then Bale, now Eriksen.
Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur!
