Many reports say that Arsenal are on the verge of signing khedira from Real madrid. This will be a good buy as both our CDM'S are old Arteta and Flamini. Khedira sometimes is good and sometimes bad. Though khedira demands a high wage which is a concern. So do you think khedira will do good At Arsenal if he joins?

Also this picture below shows the official shop of Real madrid and Khedira's number 6 shirt is missing which shows that he is moving to a different club.

I rather see Lars Bender. Nothing against Khedira but if he wants 200K/per week he can join Chelsea.

Apparently the wages are the issue. Basically he wants to be the first earner at the club ahead of Ozil, Ramsey, and Alexis. Unless his agent and us work things out, and we agree on not so ridiculous wages I agree with quikzyyy he can get lost. I hope we work things out, a Ramsey/Khedira duo in midfield would be pretty powerful. And he's best mate with Ozil.

From what I've read, he's asking for something after taxes, around 105K/w which sounds reasonable, but with taxes that's close to 200K/week which is totally ridiculous given Ozil is at 140K and Alexis at 135K.

He aint that good. Bender would be better as he is younger than khedira and would suite Arsenal

I'd prefer Gundogan over any German CDM or CM, but maybe except for Kroos, but he seems to be Real Madrid bound. Khedira's injury issues could make 25M a risky buy, especially when his contract at Real runs out in a year.

Khedira's injury issues? Gundogan has been injured for a long time now; an injury that is seriously threatening his career. The dude is an even riskier buy than Khedira.

My choice would be to not buy either of them and just stick to the team we have now.

Matic - Fabregas with Ramires, MVG and Mikel as subs is good enough.

edit: Signing Tiago on a free just for added back-up and experience wouldn't be too bad either.

Fabregas can play CM, which still works in the pivot.

You forgot Schweinsteiger and also Mourinho sees Lahm as a CDM.

@quikzyyy khedira is not a CDM, CDMs don't exist anymore. Only holding mids, and not all teams play with them.

@KingHenry holding midfielder is defensive midfielder. They are behind in formation 4231 which a lot of teams are using. While Fabregas was more playing attacking midfielder, sometimes even upfront.

Khedira to Arsenal would be disastrous for competing EPL teams. Arsenal would have a stacked midfield then. From what I've read, Khedira wants 150,000 Pounds per week, more than Alexis and Ozil's rumored ~130,000 range.

@Dynastian yeah i heard he wants £150k a week but another 50k will be charged for tax raising khediras salary to £200k a week which is alot

@fru yep that would totally break our wage structure, and set a precedent for incoming players, without talking about our best players who've been at the club for a long time and will want a raise. I'm talking about ramsey and walcott, who are both making £100K/week

Imo that'd be bad business, khedira is a great player, but we can get someone close to as good as him for cheaper. Schneiderlin, Bender, Gustavo, etc
